  • How old for bugaboo pushchair ?

Ok so this is a daft question but when do you start using the pushchair as opposed to the carrycot?  I have a bugaboo and E is steadily growing fast and is nearly too long for it.  He is 11 weeks at the moment.

    Huge thanks in advanceThanks

does it say after 6mths of age?  My son didn't like the carrycot so we changed to the buggie part at around 4 months and he was a bit tiny for the straps but ok.  Up until then I mainly used the car seat attached to the base.

ah brill thanks!  He does prefer the car seat to be honest, I was just worried how long they are allowed to be in it.

I know - there's always something to feel guilty about! : )  I walked everyday with my son, I loved getting out but I  made sure he wasn't in the car seat too long, I think its a max of 2 hours.

It's supposed to be 6 months but you could in theory put them in earlier as long as you kept them lying flat. I'd leave it as long as possible though.

It does say 6 months although I know a lot of people swap it over a lot sooner.

Lily is 17 and a half weeks and still in the carrycot. I have tried to make it a bit more interesting for her by putting a cot book in there and a whoozit activity spriral on the handlebar.

If you are using the car seat on the frame, the guidelines are for no longer than 2 hours which is why we don't use it. Better to use the buggy in the fully reclined position than the car seat IMO.
