  Contact Not sure what i'm doing yet but What sort of icing would I use and how would i go about making a cow-print covering like the bottom tier of this one ?? If I wanted to make figures to sit on top what do i make it out of? I've used fimo loads, does icing operate in a similar manner?! TIA! Off to bed now but will check back tomorrow evening!   Contact I made this cake (sorry pic is so big this is the first time I have uploaded a photo here) and did it by covering in fondant icing and then cutting out the pattern in different coloured fondant that I had rolled really thin. You can just wet the back with water (or vodka) and it will stick together. Only problem I had was that it was July and very warm and the icing was VERY difficult to work with as it went sticky sooo quickly.

  Contact I'd probably use ready to roll icing.  The picture looks as though the black is painted on, but I think I'd buy black ready to roll (get it from ebay or a local cake shop - hard to dye it yourself and get it properly dark) and cut the shapes out and stick on with water. Little Button - that cake is amazing.  Never seen one like it.  Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key
