Mine is a rear problem not a front problemEmbarrassed

Anyway I had another appointment today - finally seen the correct person after seeing the wrong people twice. Anyway he confirmed that I have a fissure, and also where I tore when Phoebe was born, I have a pocket which basically has created a little "pocket". So if I get constipated, it tends to push in this little pocket and aggravate the fissure.

For now he's given me some advice about the best position to poo in, how to avoid any constipation and things. There is a cream that could help the fissure heal quicker but I can't have it because I am still breastfeeding. I am going back to him in three months and if it hasn't healed, or improved at all, he wants me to consider stopping breastfeeding.

Sorry to hear you are having some problems.

I had a 3rd degree tear but thankfully am now pretty much back to normal so it does get better.

Is the fissure a bit that is still healing? Baths with either a few drops of tea tree oil or lavender oil can sometimes help with that as well as being a bit anteseptic to keep things clean.
