So Im looking at getting a sling, the plan of me passing my test/getting a car before Miss Boo arrives are not gonna happen, so we are going to be on Public transport for some of our adventures. So im looking into a sling as Im thinking this will be easier for us to get out and about Im not sure which to go for to be honest..style wise, they all look lovely Im just not sure which to go for? I was looking at the babasling http://www.thebabasling.co.uk/sling/7 and also the Kari me http://www.kari-me.com/?gclid=CMXFxuimqaACFZJr4wodGwQjag but Im not sure how easy it is to wrap them? and silly question but would you put it on under a coat?

Which do you reccomend-either of the above? or something totally different? Im all ears.

    I'm just being nosy, honest!

I wanted one for the same reasons really, I dont see that I'm going to be learning to drive that quickly Embarrassed and for me getting about is easier to not have to take a pram everywhere.

If possible try some out, once you see them IRL they arent as bad as you'd expect, or have a look on youtube as they have some demo videos on there on tying them. I was sold on a Moby after originally wanting a Close.

lol pip, OOoh I like the Moby, that looks lovely. I havent seen any IRL apart from on other people the youtube thing is a good idea. The Beco is very pretty snowball! I cant get on pina's website here so will have to check out more of her wares at home.

for an ickle baby you can't beat a stretchy wrap - the moby, close and kari-me are all pretty similar. I would wear my kari-me under a coat to keep us both nice and warm.

For a bigger baby/toddler I love my Beco Butterfly but I have met lots of people equally passionate about the Ergo ;-)

Is there a slingmeet near you? I found mine (Oxfordshire) fantastic for trying out new slings, and they have a sling library too so you can borrow the styles you want to try before you fork out for your own.

I was going to say the same as Mrs Aspiring.  Stretchy wrap (Kari-Me / Moby) for a newborn, switching to a Beco Butterfly from around 6/7 months.

I always put mine on under my coat as that way could fasten the sling around Zoe as well.

You will want to get a rucksack style changing bag if you are going to be slinging a lot btw.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?
