I can't quite believe it!!! I had my last treatment today. I still have the drugs for 2 more days and then the side effects to deal with. However they stopped one of the 2 drugs I have, last time so the side effects are much less of a problem - just mouth ulcers and upset tum
It had been a rollercoaster of a 6 months really. Some friends have revealed their true colours so have been dutifully culled

. Others (you know who you are!) have been truly amazing and more supportive than I could ever have hoped for. They always say that at times like this you find out who really matters in your life.
I took a bunch of flowers in for my nurse today and chocs for the rest of them. They are sucha wonderful group of women - so amazingly upbeat and supportive. There is a real sense of community there and I shall miss them and the other patients that I have grown to know.
As for now - I have a CT scan in 4 weeks which I have decided will be all fine

and then off to the Maldives at the end of April. Then I am monitored for the next 2 years and then hopefully in one way or the other we will have a family.
I want to thank all you lovely slipper makers for your support - this place is truly amazing for the comfort and support that it provides (oops made myself cry there!!!).
So I shall need to reserve a place on the TTC bench for March 2012!!!!
