My friend got married in Gretna. it was just her and her husband to be. They are had a great wedding. They had some lovely photos taken and the people at Gretna were really nice. I don't think they paid that much money either. :) x

Married to Mr T since 09/07/11

Hiya, I got wed at gretna ( the mill house ) 2 years ago. We went through the website and did a package. Everything was included, car photographer etc etc, and we married in a little chapel with friends and family, it was really lovely.

It did actually happen after we had planned to marry in London, but we had so much grief from the guests (because we wanted to do it on a wednesday) that after about a week of family and inlaws moaning I made the comment about running off to gretna green. It was said as a joke, as i was at the end of my tether, but once we looked into it we saw how lovely it was and at half the price we would have paid for everything in London!

And we still did it on a Wednesday and everyone turned up! ROTFL

    I say go for it!!

That would be a lovely option!!  My cousin had her second wedding there.  I wasnt at it but  those that were said it was lovely.  I have been to gretna tho years ago with my parents on a holiday and it was a lovely place.  When we were there i remember a couple had come just to get their pictures taken there.
