  • Wii Fit 'Free Step' Question...

    So, I've had my Wii Fit around 2 weeks in an attempt to shift the baby weight before I go back to work in three months.  I find most of the exercises fun but not very taxing and so I've started doing the free step which allows me to do a maximum of 30 mins at a time and I up the pace to the max.  However, it's still really slow and TBH I find it a bit boring (it's better when I switch to TV mode Smile), it's just too slow and I'm not working up a sweat (and I am pretty unfit).  Does anyone know if you can 'unlock' the free step after you've done it a number of times to allow you to increase the time and or speed?  If I try and go and my own pace it tells me off and tells me to slow down Embarrassed

    Thanks,

    Wii Fit Novice!

    This is my biggest bugbear with the wii fit lol.  I have been doing this for months and it hasnt unlocked anything near fast lol  I think it must be because the board wouldnt be able to take the pace!

    I turn mine to TV mode stick it on a music channel and use arm weights for a better work out.

    Hiya, I found this too, I wanted something more challenging after a while. I cant be doing with music channels on the TV theres too many adverts and I lose my concentration. So this is what I do;

    I turn to free step and turn the sound down and put some pumping tunes through my computer. I start off doing the basic > step on the board > step off the board, and then, have you ever been to a step aerobics class?, I use the board to 'travel ' and basically do all the step class moves I have learned over the years with the little jumps at the corners (cant describe it). By the end of that 30 minutes session I am well and truly done in!

    A couple times a week and you really notice the difference!
