i was just wondering if some one could give me a hand, im doing a wedding planning course and im having a bit of problem finding photographers who do reportage style with magazinge style photo albums for 1500 or less, all the ones im finding are a lot more, doesn't matter where they are in the country, so if anyone can help i would be very greatful.

hi libcam, you may struggle to be honest, these albums are VERY expensive to the photographer and so the cost has to be passed on to the client, the GraphiStudio or Sim2000 albums can end up costing nearly £500 and then with factoring in the time taken to design the album itself you can see how they usually end up costing the client a lot more.

You may have better luck with one of the more budget photographers, as their basic rate will be lower to start with. The problem with this is they're generally not as experienced and may not have done any of these albums before. I'm not within your range but as a tip, there are some cheaper Magazine style albums out there and I do use these for some lower priced packages (£1500), I also know other photographers use them too - they are nowhere near the quality of Graphi or Sim (and they're  a lot smaller) but they're not too bad. If you do more research you will definately find someone! Good luck with your course and please feel free to email me if you have any further queries x

    Hi,

I too offer the wedding storybooks in a variety of size, individually priced or in, at not-too-expensive, packages. The reason I can do this is that I have been doing these books for over seven years and do the deisgning myself (savings some layout/ designing money) and saving time on tooing and froing. The books are made and hand-sticthed in UK, adding more of a personal touch rather than the mass-machine produced. The time taken is a lot less then others mentioned. It usually takes about three weeks for the book, once the design has been approved by the couple (some manufacturers seem to take about 12 to 16 weeks, at least!).

I have just seen their new range yestrday at their showroom . The great thing with this company is that I am able to take my clients on a visit to them as well!

The makers have been described as the best by a professional photography magazine.

    Here is the excerpt

Professional Photographer magazine described them as their favourite wedding book company “A bookbinding service provides a luxurious finish to your photos that can be designed to your brief.  Many companies can do this, but our favourite is Booked Images, which creates a range of handmade, bespoke coffee-table books.” Professional Photographer Magazine – November 2009.

I would like to make it clear that I do not have any relatives or any shares in the company but  having a choice of many professional album makers in the industry, I do value the quality of the products and their service.
