Im sorry I havent been on in ages and when I do its always me taking and I dont even really know what I need to say. There is so much that needs to be said.

But the one thing I hate about being a single mum is not having anyone to share the special times with like birthdays/christmas.

Im sat on my own reminissing about last year and how I was in hospital being induced with my baby and that he will be one and I have no one to talk to. Im sat on my own crying dripping tears onto my sleeping baby who is going to be one tomorrow and everything just seems to have it me.

    It just sucks!!!!

Momai, I have the utmost respect for anyone that is a single parent.  My mum was, and I really had no idea just HOW hard it must have been until I had my daughter.  My husband goes away a lot, usually about 50% of the year he is away (although in slots of several weeks at a time) and each time he goes away I struggle so much and always think how amazing single parents are.

Also, I don't know if this helps or not, but I was a blubbering mess around Aliya's first birthday, and I had lots of family around (incl. Mr S).  Having spoken to several Mummy friends, it seems that a lot of them also were very emotional on LO's 1st birthdays, remembering back to "this time last year" is quite an emotional thing I guess!

I'm not saying that to detract in any way from how you are feeling, but wanted to reassure you that it is a very normal feeling.

I hope that you are ok. Kiss

Can you believe that a year ago we hadn't even met - how bizarre.  Feels like I've known you for ages.   I can totally understand why you are emotional, however to reassure you I reckon even if the other parent is around if they are anything like H then they wouldn't be there to share it with - he just looks at me when I start reminiscing and goes "urgh".  I tried reminiscing with how I was really pregnant this time last year and he just said "yeah, you were really fat" .... hhhmmm,  I was thinking more the emotional side.

Have been trying to text you but out of credit - depends what you want but Pizza Express by the river are good with children, Slug & Lettuce if it's day time are fab (the one on Swinegate, not by the river).

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?
