Totally self indulgent post... Look at my ticker!!

3 months... eek  In 5 days it's going to be down to 2 months..... double eek 

It's all sorted with the vicar, venue is booked. My pianist is free, so are the chair cover people. Just waiting to hear from DJ.

Only problem is...... My friends mom was going to make the BM dresses (I'm having 5 girls aged 8-12) and my BF (aged 23) so I now have a dilemma. There's not enough time to have the dresses made by my friends mom, so where am I going to get childrens and adults BM dresses from that match?? I don't want to spend a fortune as they are all paying for their own dresses.

Oooo think i might as well flash my new venue whilst I'm here.

Have you tried the likes of BHS? They used to do bridesmaid dresses and dresses for younger ages x

thanks missdeedee, I think I forgot to say my colour theme was midnight blue so thats why I'm struggliing to find dresses. Hmmm think its a night of googling for me

Could the colour scheme be adapted? I mean don't get rid of midnight blue, but also look for dresses in black or grey.  There seems to be a lot more in those colours at the moment.

This is just from the one catalogue. HTH or at least gives you an idea.  Could the lady who was originally making the dresses make a little wrap to go with the dresses? They'll need it in Feb, then you can bring the original colour scheme back in with those. Surely they're pretty easy to make!

Thanks Mrs Spink To Be, some of the dresses are lovely. Sorry I didnt reply was doing a midnight shop at asda. The problem that I'm having is finding the adults dress that matched the younger girls dress. Think I might just have to sack my CBM

I'm now thinking about black dress with a hot pink sash... but is black too grim for little girls to be wearing? Arrrrr I need to sort my colour scheme out before I start on my invites.

Ok I think I'm gonna go for hot pink... but the problem is my CBM is a size 20... would she look ok in hot pink?

When you say little bridesmaids... how little? How about CBM in black with hot pink shoes and sash, and little bridemaids in hot pink with black sash and shoes.   If the bridesmaids are under 5ish i would stick them in a white dress with a coloured sash to tone down the black and hot pink!

I've just read the OP - I'm an idiot - you already told me the ages.  I would get them to wear the pink, I think bridesmaids over 5 look a bit too big to be wearing white iyswim?

As for the shoes... hot pink it the future in wedding shoes! I can't find any white, not ivory!! ones i like so i'm looking down the coloured route.  Why do they sell white dresses then don't do the shoes to match?!

i really am loving all the hot pink weddingy stuff that is around at the moment, im sure whateveryou decide you will pull it off and it will look fab, im soooooo jealous as you were originaly due to marry after me and now you are getting married in three months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your reasons for doing so are completely understandable and i think your day is going to be truely magical, cant wait for the report and pics!!!
