  • OT Who is the Data Annotator on here?

Ages ago on a thread about part-time working someone recommended their company as a Data Annotator.  I applied at the time and have just been accepted.

    Just wanted to say thanks!

It was indeed me. Well done Shooting Star!

Pops - I get $15 an hour, it works out around £9 with the exchange rate, but you'll be self employed so need to pay tax & NI separately.

I'm glad you asked that catcat.  I'm a Careers Adviser and have no idea what a Data Annotator is Laugh

catcat, it's a role with Butler Hill Group, details are here- http://tbe.taleo.net/NA5/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=BUTLERHILL&cws=1&rid=24

Someone (whose name has completely and embarrassingly escaped me) originally posted about it in May this year and I applied and started working in June.

<cheeky request> can those who do apply mention my name in the application form, when it asks you where you heard about the job - Michelle Lincoln (I get a bonus if you're hired) </cheeky request>

CV - I didn't actually mention Hitched - I was too worried they might check up on the sites I'd mentioned and didn't particularly want them to see my posts (not that I had to give username or anything)

Hi michelle, can I ask a question?

Are the hours flexible, or do you need to be doing say 5 hours during the day each day or can you make it evening work?

  • Re: OT Who is the Data Annotator on here?

Smiley, you have to do 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday, but you can do those hours any time during the day. Unfortunately, you can't do loads one day and then very little another day, it must be 4 hours each day.

Thank you for that.  So you could really do it in the evening then?   Do you enjoy it? Sorry, so many questions.  It is more for my sister who is due to go back to work from Maternity leave soon her current job (flight attendant) doesnt fit in well with her husbands job (pilot) or childcare as they could both have overnights at the same time so noone to look after LO.   This sort of thing would be ideal as she could do it during the day on days he is off, but in the evenings days he is working.

I have sent her the link, and if she is interested will get her to put your name.

    Thank you. Thanks

  • Re: OT Who is the Data Annotator on here?

That's OK. You could definitely do it in the evening if you wanted.

It's ok, tbh. It's an easy enough job but it can be repetitive and there are some days when I struggle with wanting to do it (like with any job really, I guess), but that's because I'm a sahm so have to fit it around doing things with Zoe and obviously, I'd rather be able to spend more time with her. It'd possibly be easier with a littlie because they still nap, so could do it then, for example. Good luck to your sister.

Thanks for the link, I meant to apply before when it was posted but forgot about it!

Can I be cheeky and ask what happened once you applied?  Did you have a telephone interview or anything?  Just so I can prepare myself as I'm rubbish on the phone lol!!

    Thanks again Big Smile
