    Hi

I am 'trying' to get organised and have so far decided on the pram and sorted the cot/moses basket dilemma. Now I am wondering if I need to get two of those bath support things for the twins.

Did anyone else use these? Or do you bath them separatlely, or only do it with the help of someone else?

I was looking at something like this http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Ergonomically-shaped-bath-support/dp/B000IVQQNQ/sr=1-39/qid=1226581624/ref=sr_1_39/276-4431720-6172968?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42855041&mcb=core

    TIA

    Hi Emma,

Huge congratulations on your twin pregnancy.

I have twin boys who are nearly 7 months old, I always bathed them separately so didn't buy two bath supports I just had one.

But I found that one of my twins hated the support and preferred to be held whereas the other didn't mind either way.

I would just buy one to start with and see how you get on.

Im so jealous of you I really miss the newborn days they were so hard but so worth it they just look so cute snuggled up sleeping together.

I don't have twins but I've always tended to bath my two singletons one the same day, one after the other. So I'd just put baby in, wash him (never had a support, just used to lie them on the bottom of the bath in a couple of inches of water and let them splash Yes), then get him out, towel wrapped round and then get my daughter in. OK she was older so could then amuse herself whilst I got him dried and dressed, but I imagine you could do much the same with twins - leave the first one all snug on the floor in a towel whilst you put the other in, then get them out and wrapped up, dress the first (who will be nicely dry by that time Big Smile) and then do the other (who again will be dry by then!). I'm not sure I'd want to be bathing two littlies at the same time, not on my own anyway! Once they're sitting up it's quite easy, but before then I think I'd be a bit paranoid!

    Thanks ladies

I must admit the thought of bathing two togther does scare the bejesus out of me. Also Mr R will like to be involved so we could do one at a time and swap over for drying, dressing etc.

    Thanks

I never bothered with a bath support. I had a baby bath to start with and did the babies one at a time. I washed one then passed it out to my H who did drying and dressing. When the bath became part of the bedtime routine (at about 3 months I think), we moved to the big bath where we could have a baby each. If I was on my own, I did them one at a time again. Once they're sitting well, it's much easier to manage them both at the same time.

I'm planning on bathing my twins seperately for a while. I wouldn't want to leave one in the bath while I was taking the other out. Then one would be getting chilly while the other was being dried. I'm sure once they are old enough to sit stably for a while I'll then be bathing them together.

We didn't have one of those bath supports. We used a baby bath until they were 6 months and just bathed them separately - h and I took one each - then we started bathing them at the same time using these bath seats http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0012K8JGO/ciaouk-baby-mp-21/ref=nosim

We didn't have a bath support either

We used a baby bath to start with and did them separately and then as they got older and could sit put them in the big bath

If I was doing one at a time the other would generally be in their cot with the mobile on (their nursery is next to the bathroom) and even now (21m) I tend to bath them when I know my H will be home in time to help dry them but that's more to stop them weeing on the carpet when I get them out Laugh
