My husband is applying for a part-time teaching post (just a day a week). He's been out of mainstream teaching for a while (having done supply work, run a music shop, offered private tuition etc in recent years) and is out-of-touch with how a good CV should look. I'm getting it typed up for him as his computer skills are next to zero ..... please, can anyone give me any pointers / advice on what to include, layoiut etc? I really want to do a good job for him!

Most teaching jobs wont let you send a CV. You usually have to fill in their specific forms and then have a supporting statement which shows off your strengths and experiences etc. I don't have my last statement on this computer but its over 3 years old now.

I suspected that usually there's copious form filling to do, but in this particular instance they have asked for a CV as it is not a teaching staff job per se.

Perhaps I just need to do the same kind of thing I'd do if it were my own CV.

Yeah I guess so if they've asked for a CV. Sorry I can't be of more help.
