Thanks everyone for your thoughts, posts and emails while I was travelling.  Lou, I was in tears reading yours while waiting for my suitcase! xx

Oh God peaches, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. Do you have friends in the uK on hand to lend you a shoulder? You need to make sure you're looking after yourself. I know that's not your first priority, but you're no good to your brother if you're in pieces yourself.

Peaches, I'm sorry to hear your update.

Wishing you strength to help him deal with things, and hoping that others pitch in so you're not the only one taking responsibility.

I do hope that your brother gets the help he needs and you get support also whilst supporting your brother Depression is a horrible place to be in.

Peaches - as Lou said. Whereabouts are you in the UK (is it Leeds area?). Can any internet weirdies come and be a shoulder for you to cry on?

I hope your brother can get some help soon. Please don't try and take this all on yourself though.

Oh Peaches, I hope seeing someone and seeing you helps him. Your a fantastic sister and person.

It's so hard to know what to say that will actually help in some way.  Let us know how you get on after you've seen the counsellor.  And try and get him to eat. 

Oh no, how awful! It's not a silly thing to say you need the counsellor, will you speak to someone? I think it's often hard on the person being the "rock". Take care xx
