Last night, Charlie (22 months) was playing next to me on the sofa, was a bit boisterous and slipped and slammed right into the side of my bump. I am 18 weeks but have quite a bump now as its my second baby. it didnt hurt drastically but has had a dull ache since. WWYD?

I'd call your midwife - she's the best person to talk to.  FWIW, bumps are actually designed as bumpers, so I doubt any harm was done (my LO went through a car prang and popped out fine).  I called the MW after, she was actually off work at the time and still more than happy to help.

I understand that our babies are very well-protected from knocks and bumps in the womb. Have you had the blood tests for Rh neg?

If it was still aching, I would be on the phone for a professional in the area to reassure me, even though in all probability everything is fine.

Hug I hope all is well.

Will do, have just been to the loo and that seems to have eased it a bit. Might hang on and see if it gets better now im up and about. I have got a doppler so I might try that too.
