    Hi Holly

We are going to have three tries on the NHS first at St Mary's; we live in south manchester.

If that doesn't work, we would go to CARE Manchester

    xx

Hey there girly gals.  I haven't delivered you lot personals for aaaages <bad Petal> and ok, I aint DTC but I'm feeling a bit upbeat today so thought I would deliver some Saturday night cheer Wink (And I have been drinking red wine so the beast from within has been unleashed Laugh)  I don't have time during the week anymore (boo!) and I also start my new sparkly job in PR on Tuesday so expect never to hear from me during daylight hours again (unless of course I miraculousy get to go on maternity leave at some point in my life Laugh)!

raspberryjam - Hug to you lovely!  Hope your recovery is going well and you are feeling loads better.  Have been thinking of you lots this past week.  Sorry to hear about your nightmaresSad  I would assume it is anxiety.  At least I always get nightmares when I am suffering anxiety.  Last night I got a BFP but with my ex-boyfriend.  I woke up in a serious sweat!  It is the only time I have been happy not to get a BFP!  Anyway, hope you had a lovely Saturday and your gorgeous god children have kept you busy. x

Spring - Hug I am so sorry about your latest IUI attempt.  I read your update earlier in the week and I have been thinking of you loads and loads.  Wishing you lots of luck for your pre-op appt on Monday.  As for girly nights in I make some mean cocktails so you lot are always welcome at my gaff for crappy comedy films and toe nail painting! x

sal1 - sorry to hear it is CD4Sad  I hear from Memi that 7 is a lucky number so here's hoping that it rubs off on you Hug  Have never heard of these new Pregnacare tablets you refer to so can't help with that.  I have an aversion to the things now anyway so even if I had they would be banned!  Lots of Babydust right back at ya and lots of good stuff for the weekend. x

Oriana - not long til the big move now, eh?  I am very excited for ya!  We MUST do Browns.  It's cocktail a go go there I tell thee!  Will also make a note to see Tropic Thunder.  Hope the situation with the clomid sorts itself out lovely.  Roll on Monday and answers for you. x

planetanna - good luck on Tuesday.  I really hope the drugs have done their thangHug  Hopefully by the time you read this you have had a busy and enjoyable Saturday. x

sarahlouisen - Hug for you my lovely.  Hope you are getting on ok.  Will be throwing some random ovines your way in the future I'm sure!  Yay for Oct finally arriving (although where did the year go already?!)  Will keep my fingers firmly crossed that you get lots of investigations and lots of answers.  Thinking of you. x

Spange - Hope you enjoyed the gym and your curryHug  Although now my mouth is watering and all I can think of is naan bread Stick out tongue

SausBear - excellent news!  3 goes and a short waiting list!  Yay you!Hug  Will be keeping everything crossed that you get your BFP very soon. x

Hollybags - Wave to you gawjus!

Big Hug and Kiss to anyone on laterz/lurkers.

    Love Petal

    xxx

Edited to add - I also forgot to say I wrote this for all of us for the Wiki http://www.hitched.co.uk/Chat/forums/t/60450.aspx  Hope you approve! x

  • Re: Weekend DTC

    Hi all,

Work has been as inconsiderate as possible, interfering with my Hitching time (boo!) so here am I at the weekend - H is doing jobs, and I am eyeing up a pile of ironing that makes Everest seem a mere molehill - so hitching as work avoidance.

AF did turn up, two days late (so another wasted POAS for me Bang head I thought I was getting in control of these stupid false hopes) but the big advantage is that I start my monitored cycle Monday - yes, tomorrow!  Hurrah.  So scans and bloods left, right and centre over the next three weeks.  Blooming inconvenient with work, but I shall concoct a devious excuse for colleagues and big boss now knows as everything is getting out of hand cover-wise.  Must sort out collecting H's form for his WIAP as well this week.  What a week of DTC related activity.

RJ - glad you are improving; I shall await the news of you being able to belly laugh.

Sausbear - fantastic news, and 3 goes should you require it - that's amazing!

Petal - Kiss New job = new shoes???

Sal1 - are these pills the 2 pack thing of Pronatal and Omega whatsits?  I bought some when they were on a buy 2 get 1 free in Boots - makes them much more affordable.

Spring - good luck for tomorrow

Poppy - many ov vibes to you

Spring - hope you get some positive answers tomorrow

Oriana - good for you - hold onto that excited feeling.

Planetanna - good luck for Tues.  It's scans a-go-go at the mo

Sarahlouisen - yay for appointment in October - coming to you soon.

    Hi Spange

Hollybags - you alrighty, lovely lurker?

  • Re: Weekend DTC

Hi everyone.  I've been away from here for a couple of weeks, so I'm a bit behind on where everyone is.  So I'll just say hope everyone's OK and I haven't missed much!

I'm now on CD11, after the most painful AF I've had in a long time, which was 10 days late.  This is probably the last complete cycle I'll have until our next appointment with the consultant.  I've no idea how long the waiting list is in my area for IVF, but that may well be the next step.  I'm hoping though that he'll either give us more clomid in the meantime or some other drugs to try first.  We've decided that we're just going to have fun between now and then and not try too hard.  I won't be doing any opks, or hpts unless I get to about 45 days and AF hasn't shown up!  I've found out that my boss is expecting, so that's been another thing I've had to contend with but I know it will be my turn sooner or later.  Never give up hope!

  • Re: Weekend DTC

Hi there WBM, glad you are here again and with a fab chilled out attitude.  You go girl!  Can't be too long before you see your Consultant again.

    Wave

Thank you so much for thinking of me, it means a lot. I wasn't very well yesterday (honestly Laugh) so I missed having to meet the teeny newborn, I was quite relieved really as I don't think I could have faced it. I have been to see my friend's nephew (9 weeks) today though and I'm glad I did. I had a lovely cuddle, he was full of little smiles for me and I even went to buy him something from Baby Gap! I asked him if I could steal him but he didn't answer so sadly had to give him back. Sad

Raspberryjam, I hope you have improved a bit again today, had  good night with your best friend and did't have nightmares last night. Kiss

Spring, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, I hope you get some answers from your nurse to put your mind at rest. Hug

Sal1, I'm sorry about your AF arrival but I hope 7 is your lucky number. Kiss The tablets will most likely be on 3 for 2 in Boots etc, so it works out at 22p a day, instead of 33p, it could be worth a try for a month or two at least?

Oriana, fingers crossed about the clinic and clomid, I'm pleased you are feeling upbeat! Big Smile I'm glad you enjoyed the film, I love a good film!

Planetanna, I'm sorry the drugs aren't being nice to you. Hug I hope your monitoring goes ok on Tuesday. xx I hope you enjoyed (!!) the party and had some relaxation time with your horse. I was thinking a few days ago that when I'm up in the 'burgh next month, you and A should come to Luca's with Magenta, Amy and me for ice cream!

sarahlouisen, yay for your appt coming up! Good luck. Kiss

Spange, Wave I love your avatar!

Sausbear,  that is such postive news, yay! Big Smile

Petal, its lovely to hear you so upbeat! Cheers <-- red wine. Wink Good luck with your sparkly new job!

    Poppy18, Wave

Positive Resolution, boo to less hitching time! I hope you managed to tackle at least some of mount everest of the ironing world! I'm sorry your hopes were raised with a late AF. Kiss Good luck with your very DTC week!

Wannabemum, Hug I hope things get moving with your consultant while you wait for IVF. Have fun in the meantime. Wink

Babydust to everyone looking for it and Wave to the lurkers and grads too.

<phew> My first proper full on personals! Laugh

PS, For anyone I haven't met yet (there are a few) here is my story.

    Afternoon ladies,

    Hope everyone is well.

As for me I had the worst dream last night. It went like this..... I went to my first gyno consultant to find everyone watching me and had been throughout everything - even an internal!! But it doesnt stop there, I then am told to wait in the waiting room but I only have a top on as my bottom half clothes - including undies have disappeared. I then find waiting room full of ladies with babies, people who know me but not my DTC problem, and lots of men. WTF?

I know I am worried about the meeting - am worried he'll say your too fat / old / etc etc for any treatment. I am worried as to what will happen too as its all new for me.

PLus - and this is in real life - I have just found out a friend of mine has just got a BFP on her first round of icsi - am so pleased but at same time so upset!!! Sad eh!!!

Well, its another week coming up. Am trying to think positive..........  +++++++++++++ to everyone else too!!!!!

Hi Mrs Magic.  Thanks for posting the link to your story, helpful +++ for me.

We've not "met" so I thought I should do likewise and let you know a bit of background - I've had 3 m/c, a whole truckload of tests to find out why I m/c all of which came back normal, now another 14 months of nothing so we are going through another truckload of tests for subfertility.  These have found I have 1 blocked tube and tomorrow I start a monitored cycle to see whether I am ovulating properly and whether my ovary can support a fertilised egg (or something like that).  H is going for SA when I get round to collecting the form, which might be Tuesday if I am lucky.

Oh, and I have found some work that I brought home last week as I have to take a day off tomorrow, so I am doing that instead of ironing (well actually I am hitching instead of doing my work instead of doing the ironing, but hey - there you goLaugh)

  • Re: Weekend DTC

Blimey, that's some dream Cheeky Chops! Kiss

Fingers crossed it will be far less uneventful for you Laugh and you get the answers/result you want so much.

I understand the mix of emotions with your friend, it's not sad. Hug

Thank you for sharing your story too. Hug I'm sorry you have been on this journey with very little in the way of answers and I'm so sorry you have had three m/c. Kiss I'll keep my fingers just as in your avatar that you can start the next part of your journey with a positive resolution soon. xx

I'm loving you working, hitching rather than working rather than ironing is the way forward, besides you have to hitch sometimes. Wink
