    Hi All

Well had a very scarey and eventful weekend still quite shook up by it all.

I did do a post on the Friday but my computer crashed soim not sure if it worked or not Embarrassed

Right Friday i was 37 weeks went for my normal midwife check seen a diff midwife to usual she was very nice, as soon as she seen me she asked me if i had suffered any headaches, which i hadnt, any way, my water sample was ok, then she dome my blood pressure it was 120/90!! My normal readings have been:

At the lowest 100/60 my average is 130/70, so she sent me for bloods and arraned to come to my house Saturday morning to take it again. My little layla was fine thank god, good strong heart beat and moving well.

Anyway Saturday came and i was a bit nervous of her coming so i knew my bp would be raised slightly, it was 120/95 and my bloods showed uric acid so i was sent to hospital for monitioring que massive panic from me. Im terrified of hospitals and am a very nervous person in general really.

Well it all went crazy, thankgod my little girl has never showed any sign of distress i she was montitered for hours and is very happy and content massive relief!!

but it was me causing the worry, my bp went up to 155/95 but my pulse was what caused the stir it was 150 bpm and not coming down! well i knew i had a rapid hb as it was picked up when i was a teen but nothing was ever done about it doctors just said it was fine!

Well i had to see a cardiac team - regististrar and consultant, i had to have an ecg everything i was admited to hospital as tachicardic, they could not belive ive never been followed up with this heart beat, they were worried i would not cope if i went into labour before they had tested my heart etc i was in bits i was scared it was something seriousy wrong with me, they kept me in over night and done my obs every 2 hours, bp came down to 140/79 pulse did eventualy come down to 80 bpm, they done an ECG which came back fine tahnk god and they are please to discgharge me now as they cannot see any heart problems just a rapid pulse rate, but they are happy with that as it does settle.

Im now under the care of the consulant for the rest of my pregnancy they are happy im strong fit and well enough to labour naturaly without constat monitering, and the cardiac team just want to see me 3 months after birth to see if it has been caused by pregnancy or if it is just my naturla hb rythem.

They need to seeme twice weekly at the hospital now for fetal monitering anf the check my bp, as they dont want my blood pressre to get any higher!!

Sorry for such long post my head is still all over the place and its helped writing it all down!!

Im just so thankful that my daughter is well and safe and that there is nothing criticaly wrong with me, very stressful time!!

Wow, what a stressful time for you.  I'm really pleased to hear that they have let you come home and that you will be able to labour naturally.

Gosh sounds a bit scary.  Hopefully your BP will stay down (might have been a bit of "white coat syndrome") and glad to hear you and your little girl are both ok x x

Flip! Good it was found out now instead of tests whilst in labour. That's stressful enough.
