Does anyone have one? Are they worth the money? We are probably going to have to buy a new crib for this baby and wondering if I should keep an eye out for one of these. Is there a certain make anyone would recommend? We co slept sometimes with A, normally putting her down in her crib 1st then would co sleep when she woke for a feed

I don't have one, we have a moses basket for daytime and a hammock for nighttime sleeping with this baby, but am also going to put up one of those bed guard thingys on my side of the bed in readiness for co sleeping as figured it would be a cheaper option. Just thought I'd say in case it was something you could do rather than spend out.

I *think* that you can get a normal cot that the side comes right off so you can push it right up to the bed IYSWIM?  I could be talking rubbish though! Laugh

Thanks Lambi - we have a bedguard that we used when co sleeping with A but I like my own space Smile We never bothered with a moses basket last time as we knew A would be a big baby so would have got no use out of it. The crib we had for A is currently up the loft and when we were last up there it looks like it may have gone mouldy so we'd need to buy a new one. Won't know for sure til we get it down as it may just be dirty but just trying to work out if we do have to buy one, if we'd be aswell getting a co sleeping one.

FF - just seen that Cosatto one on Ebay, also this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BEDSIDE-COT-2in1-CO-SLEEPER-HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE-BLUE-/390301639440?pt=UK_Baby_Nursery_Furniture_ET&hash=item5adfca6310 which is so reasonably price, i'm wondering if it will be any good. I'm never happy - too dear and I moan, then one I can afford I worry it must be rubbish if it's that cheap

wow that one is cheap!  But I like the extender bit, seems a sensible idea.  Is it a foreign seller?  Im not that good with ebay, but can you check the review for that particular item?

I know what you mean by own space!

The ebay ones looks good. If its rubbish you could probably return it?

Yeah comes from Germany, doesn't tell you a make so can't find any reviews for it - does say 'Polly' but Google doesn't bring anything up with that

It's from Germany so not sure they'd accept returns, or i'd prob have to pay to return it which would cost a fortune. I can't really see what could be wrong with it - only going to get used for 6 months max, I may just go for it - will have another look on Ebay etc 1st and see what else I can find

Me me me I have a cheap cheap cheap one! sorry getting a bit over excited there. We have one of the cots from Ikea that is a change into a cot bed type thing. But we have made it up as a cot bed with the mattress at roughly the same height as the bed IYSWIM? It has worked brilliantly as a bedside cot - at the fraction of the price of the specially made ones. It is incredibly sturdy, so much so that on one occasion B ended up in and U in bed with meSmile

I had a bedside crib and LOVED it, it worked out brilliantly for us. C was there next to me but I could relax as he wasn't in my bed. I used it until about 8m, but wasn't ready to put him into his own room so bought a cheap bedside cot to replace it and used that until he was one. I think it helped me bf, and certainly helped me sleep!

We have this one although I bought it from ebay for a bargain £40

The only downside was the straps that attach it to the bed werent great so we ended up making our own. E slept in it from a couple of days old as she hated the Moses basket and up until 9 months when we bought her a cot bed as we'd need it for this baby. She still had plenty of room though as it's pretty big.
