E was going to be an Evie had he been a girl so I've liked it for a while, but wasn't 100% on using it this time around, but having signed a card from both E and his little friend Evie today to another child we bought a joint present for I liked how they looked together!

Which name do you prefer out of Esme and Evie? Middle name will be Joy.

Others on our list at the moment are Sienna and Sophia.

I'll probably have a boy Laugh

  • Re: Esme or Evie?

I love both! Probably go for Esme though as Evie is quite popular round here.

  • Re: Esme or Evie?

I love Esme and Sienna!!! Esme Joy has a lovely ring to it as does Sienna.

How have you been? Is the sickness getting better?

Thanks for your replies. Food for thought! I only have one boys name so far that H and I agree on (Adam William), although I'm still looking for something a little more unusual but not weird! We are set on our middle names, it's first names I find tricky!

Not particularly AV! Not sure why it's all about the E's!

Sickness is much better just now than it was over last weekend/week. I seem to be getting a few good days and then one shocking one every now and again, I'm hoping they will become fewer and far between! I love not feel so rough and miserable, I feel more like me again. Thank you for asking.

The popularity of Evie is what puts me off it, I don't know of any Esme's, yet.

I've always like Sophia, but again it's quite popular.

I love Sienna, but the fact that it has no meaning other than a place name I'm not keen on, perhaps that a silly reason though.

I really love all four names but would probably go with Esme or Sienna purely because they are less popular. It's one of the reasons we werent 100% about having Sofia as Eleni's first name - and then a friend used Sophia a few months before us after us which sealed it (I did wobble for the first 2 weeks that we'd chosen wrong). I know a fair amount of girls called Evie who are around the 2-4 year old age group.

My cousin has an Esmae (not sure why that spelling)

  • Re: Esme or Evie?

I am going to be no help because I love them both!

I think Esme goes better with Joy, but I think I prefer Evie as a name and both go nicely with E's name.

I love all of them! You could also use Yvie if you used Evie but wanted to avoid two E's
