Venue booked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dress help needed now...

Morning everyone

We booked our venue on Saturday - very excited! We have now set the date for 28th July 2012. We have booked a gorgeous old farm house and converted barn and all of the surrounding land for the wedding reception so that we can have lots of people camping out for the night as it will be lovely and warm and I love the idea of everyone being together the next morning. The venue staff are going to come back and cater for a big breakfast so the celebration will feel like it has carried on into the next day!

Anyway, now I am thinking about my dress! I tried on a few last weekend, but nothing really grabbed me - I quite fancy wearing a tea length dress during the day and changing into something cooler for the evening as I want to have a dance. I know lots of you will think it's a shame to change out of my wedding dress when I only get to wear it for one day and I did agree before I tried the dresses on last Saturday, they are SO heavy!

Anyway - has anyone seen any tea length beauties and/or white evening dresses (short styles would be my preference) that I could maybe change into?

Oooh we are date twins! Very exciting, how far along are you with the planning? I am glad I have booked the venue - it was all getting a bit much visiting loads of different venues every weekend, I just needed to get over that first 'big' commitment in terms of planning and it all seems more fun now!

My only advice would be that my friend bought a second dress to wear in the evening but then on the day, she just couldn't bear to take the first one off!

My dress wasn't very practical but I just loved wearing it and being impractical didnt seem to matter when I felt like a princess :-)

Im quite an organisational freak when it comes to planning! So far we have church, venue, cars, DJ, photographer and chair covers booked. I have also got my dress - when i went to try on styles I had no intention of buying but managed to get my dress in a sample sale for a third of the price! Also have my shoes as well, next thing is a florist but struggling to agree on a colour scheme! x

Ooooh soontobeMrsP  this is beautiful - just what I am thinking for the daytime! I haven't tried any tea length ones on yet, I hope they suit me! You just never know until you see it on do you? Thanks for the picture matey xx

I t is hard isnt it, u have an idea in ue heard but then once u start trying dresses on u could go for something completely different! so many decisions!

Haha - I know what you mean, no matter what I am doing at work I always have about five 'wedding' windows open too! xx

I really wanted a tea length dress but they didn't really suit me at all. I wanted a Charlotte Balbier lace one but I'm too short and because of all the petticoats sat out so wide, I was totally lost in it!

Hope it suits you though, they are just gorgeous! :)
