  • OT - Has any famous (historical or not) people visited your venue?

I thought more people would be interested in who had been there before them?

What a good idea for a thread, unfortunately I got married in a modern theatre building and the only people to have been there befroe my wedding would have been perfomers in the theatre below my function room , including flippin Bradley Walsh on the night who talked so much his show overran and delayed my entertainment starting !!

  • Re: OT - Has any famous (historical or not) people visit?

I'm not sure anyone famous or historical would have ever visited my venue let alone been married there!

Though I do know that the house (it's now a hotel) was built by the Fuller family of Fuller's brewery, which is pretty cool as Fuller's London Pride is my favourite ale, and the Fuller's brewery is in Chiswick, where I grew up Smile

I just thought it would be something interesting and might spark some inspiration......

I am rather sure that no famous people have been to the village hall! unless you think john major counts...

Oh, this is right up my street! Whenever we book a wedding at a very old venue, the first thing I do is research it's history, and see who was there before me.  I am a huge history buff. Thinking about the figures in history that were at your venue before you must give you goosebumps :)

I'm getting married in a 12th century castle, there's 3000 years worth of history! It was once held by Henry II.
