Reading Recommdendations please.....

I had a kindle for my birthday and have just finished readin my first book on it over Christmas - I loved it!

i readTwelve Days of Christmas and it was really good.  I am hoping to increase my reading in 2011 - I was after some recommendations.

I am after easy reads to get me starte, nothing too complicated!  Any suggestions greatfully received!

Have you tried any Cecilia Ahern? She wrote P.S. I Love You as well as several others which are fun to read.

Under the Ombu Tree by Santa Montefiore (may have spelt the surname wrong) is FANTASTIC. I was so disappointed when i finished it! Just finished another of hers called The French Gardener which was fab too - my mum is bringing more of her books over with her next month!

Old favourite authors include jilly cooper, christopher brookmyre, kate atkinson, anita shreve, annie proulx, marion keyes

classics that are sometime considered kids/school books that are still great - what katie did, little women, the catcher in the rye, the prime of miss jean brodie, 1984, the handmaid's tale, to kill a mockingbird, lord of the flies, lord of the rings

If you can give us an idea of what type of book you fancy you might get more specific suggestions

I have readsome Jodi Picoult and enjoyed them.

I am just having a look around amazon now but not sure what to go for!

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini are both beautifully written books.

I've also just finished reading Stieg Larsson's The Millennium Trilogy which are definitely worth a read.
