I'm late to this, as usual, but have really enjoyed seeing all the photos of these gorgeous babies!  I can't believe they're all turning one <sniffles>

L will turn one on the 1st of December and is getting to be quite a madam.  She crawls quickly and cruises and her hobbies are climbing stairs, trying to stick her hands down the toilet,  annoying her brother, trying to pull the cat's tail and spotting contraband food (chocolate, biscuits etc) at 20 paces.  She has quite a set of lungs on her and puts them to good use when not getting what she wants.  She used to be such a placid wee thing, I'm not sure what happened!

Our house is chaos at the mo' as her and my 3 year old fight ALL the time - she loves him, but the feeling is not mutual, unfortunately!  L can give as good as she gets so it gets quite noisy most days.  She's still tiny and wearing mainly 3-6 month clothes, but her size doesn't affect her feisty-ness!

Here she is, about a month ago - sorry, the size is huge!

I saw this thread this morning but had to go to work so have come back to it.  All the babies are doing so well and are gorgeous.  Olivia was one at the beginning of the month and a lovely day was had by all.  She is standing unaided and walks/runs between myself and H or chair to chair then gives herself a round of applause!  She has a lovely sense of humour and if she sees H on the laptop wil stick her head round in front of the screen and grin at him or she will turn it off! However if I'm on it she leaves me alone lol! Peekaboo is a favourite game and keeps her entertained for ages!

She eats really well as long as she isn't teething and sleeps from 7ish to 6/7am - if she wakes in the night it is because she has rammed herself into the corner of her cot and is stuck.

She can sign milk, duck, fish and dog! and says duck, nana (banana), hiya/hello whilst holding her toy phone or one of our mobiles to her ear, cat and other very loud sounds!

I am still breast feeding her in the mornings but she has formula/cows milk the rest of the day.

As some of you may have read I have recently been put onto ad's because things have been getting me down, I am working full time, training to be a reading recovery teacher whilst doing reading recovery in the mornings and covering teachers in the afternoon.  By 9pm I am no good to anyone and it's getting embarrassing how many times I have cried at school now!  However Olivia makes it all worth it and I wouldn't have it any other way except perhaps win the lottery so I could work part time.

    hi hi hi everyoneWave

i dont get on here much, as you may have noticed! - thats what having 2 under the age of 5 does to you......

DPB - made me laugh, especially when i thought 'hey, i think that was me!!!!!' were'nt we also the 'heads in the sand' bunch!!!!

H is doing really well; completely toothless but crawling everywhere and starting to stand up - am hoping he walks by 1 as the other one did and H is quite a heavy lump! - he;s very very smiley and generally happy all the time; just awaiting the teething grizzly stuff to come.  H thinks his brother is the bees knees and some of the time the feeling is mutual!!

Back to work for me early Jan and nursery for the 2 boys - not wanting to go back to be honest, but needs must at the moment.

can seem to post a pic - any tips?

KB3 - yes I always put Huggalugs over N's trousers, though I don't know that that's necessarily the right way to do it. It just seems a shame to hide the lovely stripes!

I am far too tired and emotional after Anna's birthday to post much so I'll do an update tomorrow. Needless to say she is an amazing wee thing and I love being her mummy.

I'm a bit late to this! Lovely to see all the photos and read your updates.

Well being 1 is old news for Gabrielle now, she was 13 months last week Bawl I'm slowly coming to realise that I have a toddler not a baby now - she has been walking well for a good few weeks now and Auntie L and I took her out to buy her first pair of shoes last weekend. Not a joyful experience - G bawled through most of the trying on of shoes and it's a nightmare trying to get them on her!

She's starting to understand a lot more now, if she doesn't want to do something she shakes her head and if I say "let's go and find Daddy" she gets all excited and starts to say "dada". She hasn't got any real words yet, although I could have sworn she copied one of her toys when it said "red" the other day.

We had our first parents' evening at nursery the other day and Gabrielle got a glowing report, they clearly all adore her there and she them, they said she'll go to any of them for a cuddle which a lot of them don't do. Which makes me feel better about working full time - although she seems to be going through a bit of a Daddy phase at the moment and quite often if I pick her up for a cuddle when I get home she'll reach out towards him instead. I've decided that this weekend is to be all about Mummy and Gabrielle!

Also getting to this quite late. It was great to read updates about our babies. They all look so grown up now in all the photos.

MQ - we had similar issues with the shoes. We were only looking for cruisers as I wanted her to have something decent on her feet for going outside at nursery as G isn't walking yet - she let them measure her, but screamed when they tried to check the fit/ get her to walk anywhere!

Mazzy - that video is fab.

Well, Grainne's first birthday was last Tuesday and we had a really nice day. Our living room is even more full of toys now! She crawls very quickly and cruises a lot now. She can stand on her own, but panics when she realises that she is doing it! She has loved walking with us holding her for months now, but has started just taking one hand now and taking a few steps. I think she just needs to build up her confidence, but it may be a while yet before she is walking properly.

She talks constantly! She can say mama and dada and occasionally we get a proper mummy. Her favourite is "imba" for Simba our cat. She says duck, fish, bubbles, ball and tried to say horse the other day although it sounded similar to fish! She signs milk and duck (Although I struggle to tell the signs apart!) However, the milk sign also seems to be used for mealtimes too!

I am back to work on Friday though and am dreading it.

Here is a photo taken after she came home from nursery today having played in shaving foam... (her hair is normally tidy)!

Aww, I really have to get to bed but will come back to this post tomorrow... G turned one a couple of weeks ago and I'm a dithering wreck, so I reckon it's all part of the territory.  Proper reply tomorrow.

Oh...and damp pants brigade? what the feck? why don't I remember that, ummm, term?!

    Hey everyone

What gorgeous little ones you ladies have produced! I don't get much chance to post nowadays but I do lurk occasionally - lovely to see how you are all doing.

Big hellos to Bones and Goldfish especially!

I is 10 and a half months old now and although she is getting increasingly frustrated at not being able to get about by herself, she can't quite get it together to crawl or cruise. She can cover quite a lot of ground by rolling or pushing herself backwards with her arms and she loves standing against the sofa etc but has never tried to pull herself up. She still only has 4 teeth but is cutting more, although she seems to have been teething again for about a month and the new teeth have still not appeared yet. She is grinding the 4 she has constantly and we have unfortunatly given up BF at the weekend as she just kept biting me. We were only feeding first thing and last thing anyway but I was hoping to get to the year before we stopped. Now she has a bit of formula in a sippy cup instead. She is sleeping through most nights now which is great and has been going down to sleep from awake for a few months.

She says DaDa and Mummm but indiscrimanantly IYSWIM and she has mastered waving, clapping and giving a high five. She loves lift the flap books - Dear Zoo and Maisy books being her absolute faves. She also loves our babyswimming classes.

I'm afraid that I don't know how to post a photo but my I looks very like Tigresslady's Olivia actually!

    Bee x
