    On to the reception.

Note to brides (and grooms) drinking campagne while bumping along on a camper van holding your flowers and keeping your dress off the damp floor IS NOT EASY but I managed and not a drop was spilt, also fortified myself with after eight mints. How good were our drivers I mean after eight mints yum!

Even in the rain kingscote looked amazing and having welcome drinks mingling with our guests was fantastic canapes were great, after a few pics out side (carfully using barn doors to provide shelter poor old best man number one was designated umberella holder for the photographer!)

It as time to eat, If you get the chance I reccamend circulating round tables between courses it's a fab way to see some of your guests. During dinner the rain stopped, the photographer hustled us out side for a few shots before pudding and speeches and we got a rainbow, what a reward for a wet wedding day!

Aww thanks Spangles I loved your wedding, mine was a chaotic wedding the only theme was things we liked.

Grace my photographer was a lovely man called Matt davis I am going to do a name and praise thread for my suppliers and will put his details there

Welshbride in all honesty I wouldn't worry about the weather, we were October and prepaired for cold and rain and it was great as we weren't dissapoint as we might have been if it had rained during a height of summer wedding if it rained.

I love Swansea are you getting married there?

Photos done pudding eaten (dinner was fantastic and dont believe what people say about not eating I ate the lot and I ate a massive breakfast this bride did not loose her appitite) it was time for Speeches, we changed the standard running order so Mr Drifter kicked off proceedings who'd have thought he wrote his speech the afternoon before the wedding nothing like the last min for this man!

I loved the speches Mr Drifter told our story so well, it was perfect, next was Dad

after a minor mishap (he had forgotten his glases a borrowed pair were found!) Dad was off. NowDad was a teacher he has taught many of our guests, (including me and OH) he made them all feel included, he spoke of my mum beautifully in a way only those of us who had known her would notice (cue my tears)  This is the point at which maid number 2 told maid number 1 to "think of boobies" ensuring make up was preserved (quick thinking BM number 2)

With dad done and dusted it was time for the all important best mens speech. Note guests take all betting on speeches seriously!

    and they were off

the best men were fantastic, Best man number one did a wonderful job of making the toast to Absent family the one job niether my dad or Mr OH felt they could do, and we all laugh. Speeches were one of my favourite things, I was in room of people I loved who know myself and Mr Drifter better than anyone I couldn't have asked for more. (There is something very special about having grown up with your best men and also a little embrassing for the groom knowing someone since you were born gives them a lot of ammunition!)
