I think before you do anything rash go to her shop and see what she's got to say for herself. Explain that you arent happy with the service you've received and dont appreciate having your calls and texts ignored. See if that changes her attitude.

Try not to panic but if once you've seen her you still have a bad feeling about her then maybe look elsewhere as you dont want to be worrying on the build up to your big day about whether or not she'll show.

Hi Anglefish, I don't really have any valuable advice to give you but just wanted to say how sorry I am that this person is stressing you out so much! Really sucks when people do this to you.

Personally I would rather lose my deposit and go find somewhere else. She has proven that she isn't very reliable, and other sources have said the same. If she has a good excuse then fair enough, but I wouldn't want to be thinking 'will I/won't I get my flowers on the day' again. I'd be happier to make a small loss than be upset on the day.

    Sorry not much help

    xx

What is it with these so called Florists? It really angers me as this puts us in a really bad light.

I would try & track her down and find out what is going on. I personally wouldn't trust her with my Wedding Day. Send me the details by email & I will see if I know anything from any of the other forums.

Well, there could be a perfectly simple answer that she may be on holiday for two weeks... lots of people don't take their mobiles on holiday - Me for one, it's the last thing I want on holiday is a phone ringing!

My advice would be to go to the shop and see her - ask her if she got your texts and message and if she hasn't she'll let you know.  If she says she did, then I think you're entitled to an explanation.  I wouldn't read too much into what you see on line.   I know it's easy to get suspicious when bad reviews come up on the internet but there are a lot of nasty minded people who do these sort of things just for the hell of it just as they do when they write bad reviews on hotels etc.    A quick visit to the shop will ease your mind one way or the other.  If you do decide to go with her after catching up - be sure you get a contract from her with a receipt for your deposit if you haven't already.

Don't do anything rash until you have spken to her and before you cancel find another supplier as lots of florists don't work between Christmas and New Year as there can be problems with obtaining fresh flowers. So if you are New Years Eve do make sure you have a replacement lined up first.
