marriage on BUDGET?

hiya ladies, im louise nice 2 meet u! in 23 years old soon to be 24. getting married to my partner of almost 6 years. were gettin married on the day we met witch is the 19th march, anyway...we have no kiddes btw lol well we are on a buget of 1000 pounds, just wondering if anyone can give me and cheap but cheerfull tips, register office is booked and wedding dress is going to be paid tmorrow, 50pound. can u bleave it, ebay is the future! any way, enuff about me. and help with my wedding pleaseeeeeeee.. thanks!

hello and welcome! lots of help on here so you're in good hands. try and use your own skills and friends/family as much as possible. you could make your own stationery (invites, seating plans, order of day etc), make your own centrepieces, you could get someone to make the cake. don't have to bother with some extras like chair covers, or even favours (tho tbh you can get some really nice favours quite cheap)... good luck x

Hi Louise, There is alot that can be done with £1000.  Make a list of what you have left to include. Then put them in priority order....  How Many guests do you have?I am happy to help you for free :-)

Ebay is deffinately the future.. I have baught LOADS for my wedding such as

£20 worth of stationary (to make my own invitations)..  Table crystals... Engraved photoframes and tankards for presents..  Organza bags and sweeties for favours.. place cards....  Wrist corsages for my BMs..   Childrens activity bags.. god the list is endless...

the main bit of advice really is shop around alot.. prices are so different form comany to company..

Congrats on the engagement. Good luck with the wedding plans. My friend got married earlier this year on a budget silimar to yours.

She kept a simple pink and white theme. By not mixing too many colours or themes it kept the cost down.

One thing I really liked though was instead of favours she put a pink lollypop infront of each name card with a little bit of ribbon around it. Shows that  most things can look great with a little presentation.
