We had a few days in Southport and, despite the initial forecasts looking as if it would be raining (hence my post on here), it was lovely weather. So G got her first trip to the beach, the railway village, etc, etc. She had a great time. We were only there for a few days and then headed further North for family visits - the car trip was a disaster with lots of screaming at various points 
, but she seems to be recovering now.
