Anyones LO watch fireman Sam?

L has started watching fireman Sam, now iv been pondering, has he always been welsh???? Iv not seen fs since my sister was little so maybe 20 years ago but I don't remember him being welsh. Can you tell iv got far too much time on my hands lol xxc

hell yeah he's welsh! from ponty pandy I recall! I used to watch it with my little sister...and now my boys watch it sometimes if its on....

I can remember watching it years ago and he was definately welsh then too.

Who would want to live in Ponty Pandy, far too many dramas for such a small place!

Fireman Sam is on a lot in this house, B loves it.  Are you watching it on Cartoonito?  Occasionally they play the old ones.  He's definitely always been Welsh.

Def always been Welsh.  DS aged 3 loves Fireman Sam and has a load of toys as well.

They seem to show the same episodes over and over on Cartoonito. 

Does anyone else think that Naughty Norman Price is Fireman Sam's illegitimate love child?  They're the only two redheads in the whole village!

I don't think he has always been Welsh!

I think in the older ones he had a British accent and its only in the newer ones he is Welsh.

Though I will have to check now.. maybe he is more Welsh now than he used to be?!

They also changed Nurse Floods accent.  She was always Welsh before but now has a Jamaican accent. 

FS is absolutely adored in this house to the extent he is on SKY+ as tantrums do occur if he's not on!

They showed an old one on cartoonito tonight and I am so used to ignoring it, I didn't even notice the accents!!!  It was definitely in Pontypandy though
