Leaving negative feedback

Does anyone know where I can leave feedback about a wedding supplier which I was really dissatisfied with.

The service we received after we had paid was appalling and I feel that other brides-to-be should be able to

find out about this, to prevent the same happening to them.  However, every website we try to leave feedback

on seem to check with the supplier himself, who then refuses to grant permission for the feedback to be posted.

I am not looking to slander anyone - I just think that people thinking of using this supplier should have more

facts than are currently available so they can make up their own mind!

Any ideas would be most welcome.

    Thanks

I would say here would be a good start and other wedding website forums.

I think qype.co.uk don't check with the supplier - certainly my wedding dress shop had bad reviews on there which really panicked me!

Thanks for the advice about this website - I will have a look.

Unfortunately, Hitched is one of the websites.  They contacted the supplier in question with my review and he obviously requested they didn't post the review, which they agreed to!

If the business is listed on Google Maps, you can leave a negative review there without it being approved by them - it may be taken down eventually but a lot of people will see it.

I'm so sorry you went through this, I hope it didn't ruin your big day.

If it's a venue, a lot are listed on Trip Advisor now....also this website.

If its another supplier something like Qype, Trusted places or weddings uncovered (http://www.weddingsuncovered.co.uk/)

I can't understand how your not allowed to leave negative feedback...  my bridesmaid dress supplier failed to tell us about ALL the hidden costs...  the company is local so when we hear people are going to use them we do have a quiet word...  but the problem is that weddings cost so much money and a bride is under so much pressure,  surely every bit of information should be to hand!!!

**so i would suggest to all brides:  read the small print, even when you are measured up for your dresses, they usually only come in one standard size and many bridal shops will then charge you around £50 for the alterations!!!  and always haggle my DVD went from £1100 down to £500!!**

Everyone should be able to leave comments for a supplier whether positive or negative. You could try searching on Google "reviews for ******  (add supplier name) ". A list of review websites will then possibly come up for you to leave your feedback. Going into the shop on a busy Saturday and complaining with other customers around may also have the desired effect if you are not having much luck with reviews. You only need a couple of people to tell a couple of people and word soon gets round.
