What does a 'show' look like?

Sooooo does it always have to be pink/blood stained?

I just went to the loo & when I wiped there was a tiny bit  of a clear, jelly like substance on the tissue.

If I hadn't had a sweep yesterday, I probably would have dismissed it as slightly odd discharge, but obviously I am on knicker watch & hoping it's something more!

Does it sound like it could be the beginnings of a show? I KNOW I should just wait & see if I get any more, but I never had a show with my daughter (not sure why - I was induced on my due date, so perhaps I just never noticed it coming away - maybe it happened & the MW just cleared it up???

I don't know. When I had a show (at home in bathroom after going to loo) it was more like a big blob of bloody mess about the size of a 50p. It was grimmity grim and I still can't believe I called my H in as it was on the floor of the bathroom!

Mine was disgusting - ALOT of mucasy slime (sorry!) but that was the start of a pretty quick labour (less than 12 hours) - i have nothing before so it clearly all came at once!

Splosh thats exactly what mine was like, it only got bloody later on when i'd had my first internal and more of it came away.

Mine was the tiniest smudge of brown blood on my pantyliner, the proper show I have no idea as the MW checked for me when I said my waters had broken or something, she said it was a show but I didn't look (I was sort of in shock that they were taking me seriously!). 

One of my fellow tri ladies, I think, described it as looking like (TMI!) her vagina had sneezed!

Exactly the same as Goldfish, except it started on the Wednesday morning and she arrived just beofre midnight on the Monday [:'(]

The only other thing is to invoke the lawof sod, the weekend M was born I was booked for a pedicure, ante natal class, and H had tickets to see Avatar on the sunday at 20.30. M arrived on sunday at 20.26, needless to say H still hasn't seen Avatar
