Oh no! You poor thing. I'm not going back for a while yet, possibly September, so not what you want to hear

One of my NCT friends is going back at the end of April - she is the first to return to work and her LO was born mid October

R was born in September and I will have been back at work for 2 months at the end of March.

Not great but it gets easier

I was due to go back on the 5th April but have managed to extend until 31st May - I am however going in for staff training days (1st April, 6th May) and hlping during SATs week.  I am the first from my nct group and there are only 2 of us going back full time.

I don't have a job to go back to yet, but I'm hoping to get something to start in September which is when we've got G booked into nursery. A lot of my NCT friends seem to be going back around May/June/July time.

I'm technically due back the 20th September, but hoping to use accrued annual leave and if possible unpaid time off to stretch it out as long as I possibly can, then going back part time working as few days as we can manage and my boss will allow. We'll be dirt poor but I can't bear to be apart from my boy, and we have additional complications to deal with e.g. with his delays he'll seem younger than he is and I'm concerned about him getting the right level of attention in nursery. Sx

duck24 is back in a few weeks if that helps BB!

I'm due back in july but looking at getting another job. I don't have a problem with sarah going to nursery but with my current job she will be there for 10+ hours 3 days a week and I feel the days are gonna be too long. hoping I can find something that is just half days but not holding out much hope! We have just managed to integrate ourselves into a few groups and started going swimming, most of which we'll have to drop when I go back and I feel like she'll be missing out on so much because of this - the thought makes me feel sick TBH!

I'm not due back til September like Spam, but things are so tight at the moment that I may need to bring that forward to early May Sad

Hoping H finds a job soon.

  • Re: October/November Mummies - anyone going back to work soon?

We only get 6 weeks leave here so was lucky to get that long!

Good luck, it is often harder for you than them

I'm hoping to stretch it out until July by using accrued leave.  I would have loved to have had a full year but money (or lack of!) won't allow it.  I'm dropping from 37 to 32 hours, but just 3 days in the office and the rest to be made up at home to suit me, so not too bad really.

Part of me is trying to convince myself that it'll be nice to get back to work, but I'm dreading it really!

I would have been going back after six months, so June or July using holiday I've accrued but then I'd be taking more holiday off to help H look after the older two during the summer holidays. So, I've extended it and will take the full 9months I'm entitled to which takes me to Aug and then use holiday days until September. This is making things really tight for us financially but it kinda defeats the object of me returning to work to then fork out on childcare fot the older two.

Ninabeanie has been back a few weeks and whilst she's finding it hard, and upsetting at first she said it's getting easier each week.

I am going back 20th July.  I left work on 20th October, so exactly 9 months.  Boo.  I hate the thought
