Nappies...in the first few weeks.

Random question.....

How many packs did you get through in a week during the early days? We have a small nappy factory going on here but i know theyl probably only last a week or two...lol.

Iv been getting them boxes from asda that have gone down to £3 and using the £1 off coupon from the previous pack. Bargain!

I *think* it's around 7-10 nappies a day. It was all a bit of a fog so I can't really remember but that sounds about right for 24 hours. The only thing I would say is don't buy too many of the same kind in advance, You may find your baby is smaller/bigger than the nappies you have or that you have to try out a few brands to find one that fits your baby well and doesn't leak. We had to use early baby nappies for the first week or so, even though J was 7lbs 8oz at birth, so not exactly small! HTH

Thanks, I swopped and changed brands with my oldest as we didnt agree with different brands at different stages.

WSS. 7-10 a day for the first 6 weeks ish; then down to 6-7 a day on average.

Also, don't discount using own brands like I did at first. I stuck with Pampers for my eldest, and only tried out Asda, Tesco etc when my 2nd was born as I had two in nappies. I found the supermarkets own just as good as Pampers - I wished I tried them earlier as I'd have saved a fortune! For example, Asda's own nappies are ofetn on offer 3 packs for £10 which is a huuuuuge saving compared to Pampers/Huggies etc, even with coupons!
