Oh bless you! This happened to me.
A bit different as I work in a bit of an unpredictable environment but I worked alone on my last day at work. The one person who was on a day shift arrested someone within 20 minutes of starting work.
My skipper came in at 3.30 just as I was off at 4pm. He asked me when I was finishing, I said "4" and he said "Oh, ok then" and went off into his office. That was it.
I too, am generally the person to organise these things. Another girl left last week and someone said "Wouldn't it be nice for us all to go out for coffee and cake on I's last day" to which my reply was "Shame you didn't all think that on my last day". Silence fell across the room as they all looked pretty sheepish.
