how long does it take to make a dress?!

does anyone know the min amount of time a bridal shop would need for a wedding dress? im having severe dress wobbles and h2b has said if we have the money end of june (getting married 7th august) i can get a new one but i dont know how long they need?

with the dress ive got now i orderd mid oct and got it 2nd january and that wasnt rushed?!xxx

I suppose it all depends on the style of the dress and the skill of the seamstress!!

I don't think you'd be able to get one from a bridal shop with only a couple of weeks to go unfortunately hun.

I used to work at Berketex and we managed to get dresses in that timescale but it would depend on if they had a dress available in a size that could be altered to fit you. Also sometimes we'd have dresses available if they weren't needed by the bride (eg if they'd put on or lost a lot of wait or even just from changing their mind).

It's worth asking around and if someone can help they will.  

The bridal shop lady that made my sisters BM dress took a week to do it from taking measurements to finish and that was at her leisure i would imagine it would however depend on how much detail etc that is going into it x

If a bridal shop orders a dress then normal timescales are about 9 months but you could always look at their sample dresses that could be altered to fit.

Why the dress wobbles?

its just nothing like i originally set out for, which i know can be normal but i just dont feel 'bridey' enough if that makes sense?! i do like it, just dont love it
