Friday confessional - your weird habits!

I can't have the volume on an odd number on my car radio and always chnge it to even if my H turns it to an odd one. I also salute single magpies as well as say good morning to them. The toilet roll has to come over the top of the roll and not down the back!

Actually reading this thread it sounds like I'm not too weird - I hang socks up in pairs, hanging everything for each person together so it's easier to put away, I have to use the same sort of pegs on an item taking it a teeny step further in that they also have to be the same colour if I'm using plastic!

I think I may be a little bit anal about cleaning as my other thing is washing up related, I have to wash up in a certain order - baby things, glassware, cutlery, crockery etc if I miss something it has to wait til the end and I'll start again in clean water!

oh yes, i do that and in the same order as you... however when H does it he lumps everything in together and i have to leave the kitchen as i have an overwhelming need to pull them all out and start again.. my other thing is the shopping, i have to have the same things in the same bags so its easier when i unpack. e.g all the fruit and veg, all the fridge things, all the freezer things etc etc, again H doesn't pack like that and it does my head in... think i might be slightly anal

I regularly have to redo the washing up when H has done it (won't let him off it just 'cos he does it badly) I can stay in the same room unless he starts washing glasses or baby things after the pans, urgh!

H learnt early on that he'd have to stand at the checkout while I repacked the shopping if he did that wrong! He's realised that it makes sense though, especially with the kids as we can grab the perishable bags and leave the rest in the car if one of the kids is screaming.

I have to count the number of step I walk up/down - sometimes i dont even realise I am doing it until I get to the top/bottom and I here myself say 26..27! FREAK haha

I do that too! I tell myself its so if I have to walk down them carry a box so i can't see the steps I know how many to expect!

The volume on the TV has to be on an even number can I can't screw up a crisp packet - i have to fold it into atriangle before throwing it (space saving...I tell myself!)

This is possibly a really weird one...

I have to clean my nose out every morning with cotton buds, I hate the feeling of anything possibly being in my nose. I regulalry dream about being able to breathe really clearly and then wake up with disappointment that it wasn't true

Broodymare, I can't have volume on an odd number UNLESS it's a multiple of 5! The other day the CD was too quiet in the car because it was on 6 and 8 was too loud - 7 would have been perfect but it's an odd number!

I just don't iron anything unless absolutely necessary - seems I'm the wierdo round here lol.

OK, H has a horrible 20-year-old mug where the glaze is cracked and I refuse to use it. The idea just makes me gag as I imagine untold germs lurking in the cracks. **Shudder**

More unusual mebbie... I like to start my morning with the Daily Mail daily suduko, and then the daily mp3 from www.pray-as-you-go.org - can usually mange both while B is having his first feed of the day.

I have a few weird ones! The stereo/tv volumne also even numbers only. Also with hanging washing out, I have to hang from inside to out. Also my sons bathroom toys have to go in the bath a certain way, h thinks I'm abit mad. I have to say the ironing thing is definately not me though. I iron about once every 2 months and do as little as possible - t pretty much has never had any of his clothes ironed!

Apart from the ironing, which I don't do any of, I seem to do most of the things you do. Volume has to be an even number, pegs have to match, washing hung up according to person especially when doing the girls - C's on one side of the airer, I's on the other.Shopping is packed according to item type and tins are put away in order i.e. veg together, soups together, beans and pasta together. Oh and the labels all have to be facing forward. Ornaments have to be symetrical etc. as do flowers when I put the in a vase. I have to open crisp packets the right way up - just wrong to open them upside down. Toilet roll has to go over the top. There is probably more but can't think atm.

Oh forgot about that one - I have to do it too. Also have to have wardrobe doors shut right to too (they're sliding ones). I tried to shut mine today and it's come off the runner and won't shut - not looking forward to bed tonight.
