  • What snacks for an 8mo?

What do / did you give?  Ethan's just dropped a bottle, so I want to add a few more snacks in.

I usually give rice cakes, or organix carrot sticks, and just got a free pack of Heinz biscotti biscuits.  Would like a bit of variety, but also keep him well fed.  Any suggestions?

Out of interest  (as I have a 8 mo), how many bottles is E on now?

I guess (thanks to Hitched help) that I treat bottles as snacks which I give in between three meals so other than rice cakes and Organix biscuits now and again I don't give many snacks at the mo (I feel all she does is eat at the moment as it is!).

I did try to introduce cucumber sticks and chunks of cheese the other day but they were lobbed across the room! Is E BLW or spoon fed/purees?

He's just dropped to 3 bottles - so everything is a bit out of kilter ATM to be honest.

I've been giving bottles at 7, 12.30 ish & 7.  Then meals at 8, 12 & 6.  But like I say it's very hit & miss at the moment - when he changes his routine everything goes wrong with bottles, naps, meals etc.  Fer example, just now he's screaming with hunger, but wants food rather than a bottle, but is also so tired so he's choosing to do nothing!

We're mix feeding - purees for breakfast & lunch, finger foods for snacks & dinner

Breadsticks are a great alternative to rice cakes.

Dried fruit (although not too much as v sugary)

Organix snacks - carrot sticks, cheese puffs, sweetcorn rings etc

Baby biscuits - Plum, Hipp Elephants, Organix etc. (or just plain rich tea biscuits)

Fruit - strawberries, blueberries, apricots and pears go down well in this house

'Poo bars' - Organix banana and date bars

Home made stuff - sugar free banana bread, all sorts of muffins etc

    Malt loaf

    Oatcakes

Or anything I can find in the cupboards really...

Breadsticks if we are out and about as I keep a stock of them in the changing bag.

Normally at home she has rice cakes, slice of toast or fruit (banana, pear, grapes, blueberries, apple)
