Morning all,
What cute babies we all have! I love seeing the pictures especially now they're getting a bit older and really starting to develop their own personalities and looks!
At 22 weeks things are a mixture of bad and good here.
I'll start with the bad, which is basically feeding and sleeping! Still waking up several times a night and it's getting so wearing now, I so desperately want a good night's sleep. Then recently she's started to fight me a bit when I try to feed her, pulling away and crying, although that seems to have improved slightly in the last couple of days. And we've had a few biting incidents - she's got two little teeth now and it really hurts! But obviously she's too young to understand not to do it. Naps are not too great either, since we unswaddled her it's hard to get more than 30 minutes at a time, but I'm not worrying too much about that, as on the days when she does occasionally have more, it makes no difference to her nighttime sleep!
We have started weaning this week, I wanted to last till 6 months but H really wanted to get her started and when I was ending up crying every time I tried to feed her over the weekend both H and my mum said we needed to get her started. I went to a weaning talk on Monday morning and spoke to the nurse afterwards about what was happening, and she said I should start her. First day went so well, she ate loads! It's been a bit slower since, but no hurry at the minute I suppose.
She's still a little one though, at the last weigh-in she was just over 13lbs, I don't mind though, I like her being little and cute (and easy to carry!)
The good things are all just to see how well Gabrielle is developing. She's rolling really well and is moving around quite a lot when she's playing on the floor. She's managing to get herself into a crawling position and I really don't think it will be long before she cracks it (we've bought the stargates ready!) Seeing her with her baby friends I can imagine in a few weeks I'll be the one running round after her while all the other mums get to sit and chat calmly! This week she's started to be able to sit up on her own, although I have to make sure I'm nearby to catch her, since as soon as she sees something that catches her attention, she's off after it and usually falls over!
She's starting to laugh a bit more often too although what works one day usually won't the next, so it's hard to get her to do it, we just have to wait for her. Generally she's a fairly happy baby though.
Here's the first meal:

and a rare one where H managed to catch a smile:
