  • milk - do you keep a baby memory book? Can I see yours?

I was just wondering if anyone else was as obsessive about keeping up their baby record book/journal as I am?

I bought a Humphrey's Corner one (http://www.mothercare.com/Humphreys-Corner-baby-record-book/dp/B000J45AZM?_encoding=UTF8&) before we even started TTC because it was cheap in a publisher's outlet shop and I loved it!  And I'm really dedicated to keeping it up - we take Izzy to be weighed as close to the 19th of the month as we can to fill in the blank for each month's weight and height, and every week or so I go through it to make sure I haven't missed a "first" to record!

I think it's because my mum had two books for me and I love flicking through them and seeing my firsts ... so I just wondered if anyone else did this too?

Which baby book do you have?

We have a Maisy Mouse one but I am embarrassed to admit that I've hardly filled it in at all apart from in the very early days. Its got space for photos too but I haven't put a single one in.

She's nearly three now so its a bit late. Laugh

Perhaps I'm not so bothered because I am the younger of two children and my mum never even got around to starting one for me.

I have to say, though, that my daughter loves looking through all the photos that we have of her.

I have a Peter Rabbit one I got from John Lewis. I try to remember to write stuff in it, and was pleased with myself when I saw Isla roll over for the first time this week - I dashed off to update the book!

The thing is, if I have another baby in the future, I feel that I'll have to do the same for that one too...

Book girl, i have the same baby book, it's lovely isn't it?

I haven't been able to write much in it as the baby isn't here yet but i love the thought of our daughter reading it when she grows up Big Smile

I haven't. I have stuff to go in a memory box (first outfit, hospital tag etc) but I doubt a boy would get sentimental about his firsts so haven't bothered.

We've got one from Mamas and Papas' 'Once Upon a Time' range.  It's lovely as it's in the form of a storybook too.  I'm trying to keep up to date with it; just need some photos to put in so far.  Will also keep a memory box alongside it with a few bits and pieces too.

I also have the Humphreys Corner one and started out with all the best intentions but must admit that I've been shocking at keeping it updated.
