  • Why did people move over to DW?

I wasnt on hitched much last year after i had my LO, she kept me too busy.

I know about DW and pop over every now and then but what i dont know is why people left here to go over there?

Did something happen for the mass migration?  what did i miss.

Something happened over on OT I think. Not entirely sure. That coupled with connection problems & being 'told off' by Hitched for swearing led someone to create DW.

As I said though, i don't know exactly.  I like it here though, so I'm staying put!

Quick summary is that the site got really, really slow and then eventually crashed.  Mel set up DW to use when Hitched was down but, even when it was back up, people were still having problems and found posting on DW easier especially from iPhones.

Then there was a bit of a hoo ha on OT with Darren telling people off for swearing.  People on OT were pissed off because he had done nothing to fix the problems but then came on telling them off so decided to migrate to DW.

BT pretty much stayed here for quite a while until a few big names moved over and then slowly more and more went.  BT here went through a very quiet phase but has definitely been picking up recently.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?

It was because hitched became very slow and it would take ages to post anything and people just got abit fed up with it.  Someone decided to open up a new forum I think it was supposed to be temporary until hitched was sorted but it doesn't appear to be that way now.  I personally use BT on here and also the DW forums.

Oh i see.  Quite a few issues for people moving over.  I flit between both but i have a loyalty to hitched that makes me stay on here more.

    thank you ladies x

BT here went through a very quiet phase but has definitely been picking up recently.

That's why I ended up posting more there than here and then forgot my Hitched log-in details <duh>.
