  • Miscarriage question

Sorry if this upsets anyone but its been playing on my mind. I miscarried in january 2007 and i suspect there was another one very recently. I didn't see the doctor either time and i was discussing it with my cousin this evening. She thinks i should go and see the doctor, or mention it to my doctor next time i'm there and make sure its put on my medical record.

Would it be possible to do this at a later date? considering one was three years ago. I don't really know how it works.

    TIA xx

I certainly think it's worth talking to the GP about as any investigations take place after 3 m/cs. I'm not sure if they can add them if it was a pregnancy unconfirmed at the time with the GP IYSWIM?

I doubt the recent one could be given you sound like you are unsure yourself.

    Definitely worth chatting about Hug

well i would say im only unsure because the bfp was more of a very faint line positive and has since turned negative accompanied by very very heavy bleeding. i guess im not sure if i really did imagine the line or not.

I didn't know three was the number at which investigations would be done. i suppose this is why my cousin suggested i try to get it down on paper.

    thanks for the hug.

does anyone else know anything about this? thanks

  • Re: Miscarriage question

Ah sorry I didn't realise you had done a test. Then I would think they would take that as most GPs just take the test you have done as a confirmed pregnancy and don't need to verify it themself.

Certainly I made sure mine was on my medical record though I ended up in hospital for mine anyway so would have been recorded. It definitely helps to have a complete fertility history recorded for the MW for any subsequent pregnancies too.
