First 'not attending' RSVP

Ohhh! I am sooo sad that we got our first 'sorry we cant come' today.  There are members of OH family that we are sort of expecting to say no, but one of our really good friends has had to turn down our invite as they are already going to a wedding in Spain (slightly more exciting that the West Midlands, I'll give you that!).  I am proper surprised at how sad I am! [:'(]

Oh well -guess I can invite someone from the old reserve list now!

Oh lamb.  I feel your pain - it's so disheartening, isn't it?  I had fab news yesterday from my friend in the US, but then two minutes later my friend in India (who's bday party it was where OH and I got together) called to say he couldn't come.  I knew it was a long shot and I wasn't expecting him to come, but I felt so bad when he told me.  Still, at least he told me unlike other people we've invited grrr...

Yeah! I know he has a valid reason but still feel oddly wibbly inside!  But as you say, at least they let us know! x

We had a couple of declines for the day which we were half expecting but still disappointed about. We had around 6 or 7 declines for the evening. Most expected except one couple from OH's work who I would have liked to have seen. Never mind, we've been able to bump a few from the reserve list which is nice. x

One of my very bestest friends lives in Brazil and while I never held out hope she could come, I was still sad when it was confirmed (couldn't get time off work).:(

disappointing, but at least you can bump some people up.
