Yes and it has never occurred to me to worry about it! I don't even normally wash them before Andrew wears them!

First time round alot more was new.  This time the only new things are 2 first outfits.  I have bought from here, ebay, NCT and car boots in the past.  I've also been leant a lot of things.

They outgrown them so fast it makes sense to me to get good condition nearly new.

Pretty much all my LOs clothes (baby & toddler) are 2nd hand.  Either hand-me-downs from friends, charity shops, eBay or 2nd hand shops.  Everything gets a good wash & air so that it's clean & fresh.  I tend to sort everything into "tatty around the house" clothes and "going out" clothes so that it all gets worn and the nice stuff is kept for out & about whereas the tatty stuff can be sicked, pooed or painted over without any worries.  Can't see the point of spending a fortune on new clothes for just a short length of time or to get trashed by a very thuggish toddler.  Plus, it's much better for the environment to reuse as much as possible (green hat on here).

I bought some second hand for my first, my second wears pretty much nothing but second hand from friends, NCT, charity shops, etc.  I have bought some lovely bits in the sales but otherwise can't really afford a new wardrobe esp in the early days when they grow so fast

I buy lots of 2nd hand things from here, DW, Ebay and a charity shop (that OH's Nan works in)   I always have been a second hand rose as my mum would say.

I am selling on Ebay at the moment and I would only ever sell something that I would be happy to recieve. Thats my rule, the rest goes in the bin!

No, I would never ever.  That's just me though.   I wouldn't buy second hand for myself either though

Most of my LOs clothes have been 'recycled' ones. I've even got nice Gap stuff in a local charity store. Gifts of clothes are valued because they're new.
More of his 2-3 stuff than ever before is new - xmas sale shopping, but then it'll last for longer since his growth has slowed down.

Ooh yes, S has had lots of 2nd hand over the years - I tend to stick to name brands which tend to be better quality/more durable fabric.

I have no issue at all with it - I buy second hand myself sometimes too! Mixing some nice pieces with new bits works really well IMO.

We've been very lucky with Sausage too - we've had lots of generous friends send us tiny clothes, and I've bought lots of prem stuff from fleabay as it's so expensive and I'm hoping he won't be in it for long.

Same here.. No idea why I am such a second hand clothes snob as I know that Leo's clothes are all perfectly wearable when he has grown out of them. I will be dressing this baby in some of Leo's old clothes if it's a boy though.. But that feels different to me for some reason!

Gosh yes. Milly wears lots of second hand stuff. Almost her entire wardrobe at the moment is stuff I've bought from the For Sale threads here. I also buy from NCT sales and eBay.

They barely wear the clothes when they're tiny and it's horrible un-environmentally friendly to insist on brand new all the time. Much greener to recycle by re-using! Milly has some utterly gorgeous 2nd hand stuff, mostly Monsoon, Next, Gap and Boden.
