Anyone surprised I'm starting the thread again? This sleeplessness is starting to wear me down now, it's not as if the telly's even any good this time of night. Big fat raspberries to the god of insomnia.

Yesterday was quite good, bought a few bits at the NCT sale though mostly for S rather than the boy. Really need to crack on and pack my hospital bag this week - one for the to-do list. Must get self-adhesive dressings for after the section, they were a godsend last time.

Supposed to be going to the farm with S and Mr M today so hopefully the weather will hold and we can get out and have a fun day, and maybe a nap for me later (well, it is Mother's Day!). I think I have a card somewhere given that S has been at great pains all weekend to tell me that she 'hasn't hidden your card, Mummy' and 'you're not getting it on Sunday' Laugh

Anyway, love to all this Mother's Day x

    Happy Mother's Day to all!

Hi M - poor you, hope you either got back to sleep or have a nice mother's day nap later. Almost time to move up - how exciting!

Saturday night here & been feeling exhausted all week, looking forward to bed now. Seem to be able to get on with things all week at work but by the weekend I'm done. I've been meaning to make banana bran muffins for about 4wks!

    Morning ladies!

I got a lovely Mother's Day card this morning with a photo of C on it.  H is in the good books! Laugh

Looks like a nice day here, so we might spend some time in the garden, which is desperate for a tidy up, although so is the inside of the house (as usual - toddlers are messy little beings)

I might bake some cupcakes later if I get chance.  I made a chocolate cake yesterday for H's birthday, which was on Thursday, but it's very rich, so I fancy baking something a bit lighter.

Love to you all and Happy Mothers Day!

    Morning all,

Madonna, sounds like a good time was had at the NNS and have a lovely time at the farm!

Poppy, hope you get a good night's sleep.

Supernatural, glad your baby has made you aware of her presence, long may it continue!

Conanetta, well done to your H and have a lovely day.

AFM, no mother's day card here, other than what J made at nursery - H never remembers things like that, and no rest either - H has arranged to go out for most of the morning, so he's currently putting the house back together so I can crack on with some washing etc while he's out. I'm a bit fed up, as he's already started to dismantle the bedroooms again ready to work when he gets back, which really stuffs my morning up as I can't get in to put washing away - grr.

Other than that, I need to write cards for our mums today and want to try and bake a cak and lots of dull housework too. How fun! Will try to get out in the garden with J for a bit too if the weather stays nice.

Have a fab Mother's Day everyone!

    Morning everyone,

14+4 here today (or 15 by the nuchal scan dates, I prefer them, think I'll stick with that )

Anyway, I was developing a nice wee bump, but its gone! I look slimmer than I have in years today! Whats going on? Is this what happens?  I know with number 1 I only looked slightly over weight at 15 weeks (it was my sisters wedding) but I have had a noticeable bump up till now, but its gone!  Should I be worrying?  Could something have happened since my scan? I hate not feeling movements, and having bleeding, cos now my mind is going in to overdrive.

Lovely weather here today, so going to have a salad for lunch (why am I wanting to eat salads I'll never know !!) and then go to ym mums with E with the strawberries dipped in chocolate that she made yesterdy.

Tomorrow is my birthday so got the day off tomorrow.  Will maybe do something as a family as feel a bit neglectd today with MrS away to his mums since early morning with E.

Hello again all, hope you are having a good day!

Smiley - they can still hide - I had days when the bump disappeared too - just hiding, and now he has nowhere to hide so the bump is omnipresent!

Was just wondering if anyone was still around...

Hope everyone has had a nice day. I'm afraid I will bring the bah humbug element today - mothers day? What mothers day?! Have skivvied all day to catch up on housework, baked a cake, done two loads of washing and pegged out (and just got in), cleaned and hoovered and done a B&Q run for H, which was not fun with a stroppy toddler in tow. Said toddler has been stroppy all afternoon and is only now silenced by dinner (won't last long). My back hurts and I'm quite bored, so roll on tomorrow, when I have a heavy meeting at work - woohoo!

Sorry to be grumpy, but better to get it out. Planning a very early night with chocolate and DVD, got to help, right?!

Evening all. Doubt anyone is still around. I've had a nice day, been at the inlaws for the usual Sunday gathering. One downside is that my MIL has been knitting and has made this rather cute little hooded cardigan, the problem, the colours are awful! I can't stand them! I think it will get 1 wear out of it on a Sunday when we visit!

I'm really suffering with my hips today. They are so so stiff and glad it wasn't a work day as I don't think I could have made it in.

Margot, i'm sorry you didn't have a lovely mothers day. I didn't celebrate for myself today, didn't feel right. Husband has already said he will spoil me next year!Hope everyone else managed a lovely day.

Nich, I'm still here, waiting for a takeaway. Hope your hips are feeling a bit better soon, I can sympathise with the miserable aches and pains at the moment. As for the cardigan, you'd be amazed how fast babies grow out of things! Laugh

What you having? I'm hungry but don't know what I want. We had a bigger lunch at the inlaws so just had a butty for tea and I'm a bit peckish but have nothing in as tomorrow is shopping day!

If my hips are as bad tomorrow I'm not sure I'll make it to work as I think I'll be no good to anyone but I need to be in on Tuesday as I'm getting a visit from a new pupil that is starting the week after!

  • Re: *** Sunday 2nd trimesters ***

Just in the middle of chicken and chips - not at all healthy, but very good! Hope you are on the mend by Tuesday x
