anyone awake? my 2 year old is ill and they're sending a doctor and i'm scared

why is everything so horrible at nighttime?

mabel has been vomitting since 10am this morning and now she can't even keep water down. she is also complaining of stomach pains. i phoned nhs direct and they got a doctor to call me and she is sending a doctor round to check her as its looking like she's already dehydrated. mabel is now - typically - fast asleep (along with my husband and my elder daughter) and i'm sitting here completely stressing

i hate it when my babies are ill and i cope really badly.

Didn't want to read and run. Have a big . At least the doctor is coming out and should hopefully be able to offer advice/reassurance. It is never fun when our LOs are ill though.

doctor came and checked her over. said she wasn't dehydrated yet and that it looks like just a very severe bug. we have to keep syringing water into her in tiny amounts as often as we can and luckily she hasn't been sick since about 3ish so some of the water is staying in now. i was really worried because her nappies had been dry for so long but she's done a wee this morning. she's still very hot and miserable but fingers crossed we may be over the worst.
