I'm not sure if F has it or not?!! My friend's little girl has come down with it and F was playing with her last Thursday - This other little girl goes to nursery and everything that she catches from there F seems to catch off her. F has no symptoms apart from she has a few spots. Tuesday she had 2 spots on the top of one leg which I just put down to where her nappy was rubbing, she was finding these itchy. She also had one on her face which isn't that unusual for her. Yesterday she woke up with 3/4 more on her legs and this morning I was expecting her to wake up with tonnes more but there's just one more on her face. Only a few of these spots have turned in any way pus like and a couple of them have gone right down really quickly.

She usually goes to playgroup today but I'm not sending her just in case but I just wish I knew one way or the other if she's got the pox! She doesn't seem to be ill and is still eating ok. My friends little girl was sick once and been off her food and had a temp.

Has anyone else had experience of their kids having very minor symptoms of chicken pox or do you think that it's just a coincidence that F has got these few spots and that it's probably not chicken pox at all? Or are they sometimes really slow to come out and she could still come down with lots of spots?

Sorry to ramble on, just need some advice please!

    Thanks x

H's sister had it when she was about 8 (so quite a bit older, but I'm guessing the same principle applies?) and she had literally 10 spots, randomly dispersed over her body.

Unluckily for me, I'd not had the pox before, so at the grand old age of 18, I caught it off her. I was covered. We're talking 1p sized boilsIck! all over my body, in my mouth, down my throat, soles of feet....everywhere, without even a square mm of free space. And I got shingles with it.Weep

So, in answer to your question, yes, you can get it mildly. Although I'm not saying thats what your LO has. x

Thanks for your reply. I had it when I was about 9/10 and remember it was horrible, I was covered everywhere with them. It's just annoying not knowing either way really.

My friends 2 boys had it a few days apart. the one had litterally hundreds of spots and we sat there watching them come out one by one literally everywhere on his body! The other brother had a handful of spots disperesed over his face and body but hardly any at all!
