    Rant and stomps feet!

I bought my wedding shoes 4 weeks ago on Tuesday and when I bought them I paid in full and they had to get them ordered in as I wanted them in white not ivory and i was told this would take up to 2 weeks.  Fair enough.  I'm in no rush (they don't know this!).  I rang them after the 2 weeks to see if they were in, i was told no not yet but in next few days and they would call me.  I give them a week (3 weeks after ordering) and ask are they in yet, they say no they take 3.5 weeks to come in.  I moan saying that i was told 2 weeks previously, then a few more days but nothing i can do so i say ok and they'll call me.  I did say I need then asap for a dress fitting cos my dress has come in (complete lie but it could be true, but that's besides the point!).  Still no phone call!  Today i called them at 4.30 asking for my shoes again.  Person who answered the phone was rude and said oh your the one that keeps ringing (i wouldn't ring if my shoes came in when you said they were going to!) and said they we're in and she'd call the supplier and call me back.  I wait half an hour and still no phone call... so i call them back.  Straight to automated messages 'Sorry the shop is closed!'.  I would like a 'sorry we can't get in touch with suppliers phone call' at the very least.  I'm pissed off now.  I want my shoes.

    Should I...

    A. leave them a very snotty voicemail?

    B. Snotty email?

    C. Call in the morning?

    D. Go to shop and make a big scene and go all bridezilla on their ass!?

    E. Something else!

The thing is if they said it would take 6 weeks I would have been fine with that, but to say 2 weeks and to say we'll call you back but 4.5 weeks and no phonecalls! GRRRRR!

I'm glad I didn't get my dress from them!

I would C, and I would call every few days to see if they are in. The more you pester the more likely you are to get them in.

If after another week they are still not in I would go into the shop and kick up a fuss, and then I would get a refund and buy them elsewhere if I can.

I cannot believe some shop assistants, being polite costs nothing.

I really hope that you get your shoes soon.

go to the shop and just say that you called in on the off chance they had come in, that you weren't phoned back the previous evening as they said they would, and when you phoned back you got the message that the shop is closed.  You might get someone more senior if you go in and then it may get delt with quicker.  If you stand in the shop while they have to phone the suppliers, then you also know that they have done so!

I would go in there, ask to speak to the manager, explain that you had been calling 'all the time' because you were told 2 weeks and you need the shoes for your fitting, i would then complain about the way you were spoken to and if she doesnt call the supplier there and then to find out where your shoes are then ask for a refund and order them from someone else who deserves the profit!

Oh, i got really angry towards the end of writing that, i hate people that cant be nice and offer good customer service, if it wasnt for us buying these things they would have no jobs!! grrr

Hope you get it sorted soon!  x

What Moya said along with a complaint about the fact they never call you back, that one really riles me and seems to be all to common nowadays!

I agree with this... they can't fob you off if you are standing in front of them!

Thanks! I will go in and have 'words'.  I'm glad it's not me over reacting and you lot would be annoyed too.  I don't need my shoes for a while yet.  I got told they'll be here so I WANT them!
