  • Recommend me your 'must have' baby related item...

    Rules are:

You can only have one item - the one thing you couldn't have managed without/loved using/would buy again even if it cost a million pounds etc etc.

You have to tell me where you bought it (an excuse for virtual window shopping you say? Who, me? <looks innocent>)

I guess it changes as they get older, but when he was small it would have been my Medela Swing breast pump I think.

hhmm it varied from month to month but in the early days it would have had to have been the vtech musical lamb. It has magical powers....

She still uses it 2 1/2 years later!

Jumperoo. We aren't into slings or baby carriers and this play bouncer / station / emtertainment system is fab for keeping Louie occupied whilst I hitch do the housework.

Probably our Quinny Buzz - used it from birth and still using it now, long walks helped J to sleep when he was little and he also slept in it in the house. Has stood up to a lot of abuse!

We were cheap and got ours on fleabay!

Our mamas and papas bouncy chair - quite upright and with an activity bar (though we didn't buy it, it's HaloHoney's Laugh). D has reflux so we need to keep him upright for 20 minutes after feeding and the chair is perfect. Also handy for keeping him entertained whichever room I'm in ie. shower, kitchen... So useful we packed it up and took it to France with us last week. Sx

Well I agree with several of the above (breast pump, breasts, muslins and morrck hoodie.

But for me I would say the Natural Womb sounds track downloaded from iTunes for 99p which is the only thing that stops N in his tracks when he starts screaming. It stops him every time without fail within a couple of minutes, but usually instantly and allows him to calm down and relax a bit so he doesn't start up again when the 'music' stops.

It is one of the most intensely annoying noises to me now, but it has actual magical powers and I wouldn't be without it under any circumstances!
