do we need any? we're only staying in the resort type area and not trekking anywhere deep or dark lol!

  • Re: Anyone else going to Mexico qq re: jabs

You do yes. You need less because you are in a tourist resort but you still need them. I had to get Hep A and thyphoid but it vary's from person to person depending on what you have already been immunised for.

Thanks Lou - I called my GP surgery (I should have done that first really lol!) and they confirmed Hep A, Typhoid and Tetanus....my tetanus is up to date so just Hep A an Typhoid for me - and they're both free so thats all good!

Fantastic. I love both Mexico and vegas. You will have a great time. We are getting married in Mexico on the 25th March. Then we head on to Miami, Washington and NYC before we head home. I really cant wait.

sounds fab! Where is mexico are you getting married?

  • Re: Anyone else going to Mexico qq re: jabs

OH MY GOD!!!! Your staying at Moon Palace.... This is the most fabulous place in the world (in my opinion) I have been once and we are going back for honeymoon for 3 weeks!!!! My brother has been 6 times already and loves it!

You don't need to have jabs, we've been mexico 3 times and never bothered. My Brother never has them either. They are more likely to make you very ill before you go.

  • Re: Anyone else going to Mexico qq re: jabs

Chelle - look forward to seing your honeymoon photos! My GP was quite insistent I need them, I figured seeing as they're free I might as well, can never hurt to have them (esp being an NHS worker haha!) Wedding is in 6 months so if I get ill I've got plenty of time to get over it lol

Oh my honeymoon won't be for 2 years yet :-( I am so excited about going back there though. I used to love walking round the grounds at night, its soooo big there. My best advice to you would be take plenty of $1 notes. Tip the maid, minibar restoker man and you lunchtime drinks waiter round the pool about $1 or $2, and they will wait on your hand and foot. Also the guys who drive the golf carts will happily pick you up from your room at anytime of the night to take you to get food, and drop you back again!!! Its fantastic there.

You'll have to show me your pics so I can live it through you for a while LOL!!!

  • Re: Anyone else going to Mexico qq re: jabs

You really should get immunised my GP was pretty insistant too. We have all had them and no one was ill. There is worry of an alergic reaction but they ask you to sit in your gps waiting room for ten min after you have them just to make sure you are ok.

Some off our friends have been to moon palace and said it is amazing. We are getting married at the Eldorado Royale. It looks fantastic. I really cant wait.

  • Re: Anyone else going to Mexico qq re: jabs

OOHH the eldorado royale was our second choice hotel but we ended up booking with virgin as I got a discount for being an NHS worker and they don't have rooms there.....I look forward to seeing your photos!
