    Morning all!

Hannah, yay to finishing work early!  I have a midwife app tomorrow too and know what you mean about them moaning, I'll be moaning about all my niggles right back at her! lol

AFM, I have been having braxton hicks and cramps on and off for the last week and they were so bad last night I had to take paracetamol, I really hope I dont have 4 more weeks of this!  Last time I saw a midwife baby was only 1/5th engaged so I know she isn't ready to come out yet which is a releif, sort of!  Im off to collect a moses basket from a free cycler this morning so that I can have one upstairs and down to save me carrying it about and I also have a friend bringing some baby bits round for me that her daughter doesn't need so I'm quite excited!

    Love to all

    Good morning ladies,

Hannah, enjoy your early finish and hope your dogs behave for their injections!

Dawnie, I hope the pains ease for you and enjoy sorting through baby things; it's so exciting!

AFM, I had an ECV last week which was unsuccessful.  My bump has been very sore and stingy but the bruises have faded to a lovely yellow colour now Bawl but at least it's healing.  I'm booked in for an elective section on 17th March so unless baby miraculously turns I'll only be pregnant for another 8 days! Eek  I'm trying all I can to turn it though and am going swimming later so will try doing a handstand in the water - I've seen in on youtube and it can't be that hard?!

I'll pop back on this afternoon, hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday

    morning all

another child free day and a list of jobs to complete particularly because the MIL is coming tomorrow.

Eleanor was only in the house for an hour before bedtime and i have a massive tornado trail to tidy.

Me I'm tired because no one had a good sleep last night.  Eleanor was up and crashing about at 6.30 which i really wasn't ready for thankfully Mr S went to see what was going on.

hannah - hope your dogs behave and enjoy the short day at work

Dawnie - I hope the pain eases or turns into something

Vicky - sorry to hear your ECV was unsuccessful sounds quite brutal.  Scrubbing floors is supposed to help them turn isn't it or I think just being on all fours.  I hope swimming is good for you.

Hanah: Hope your appointment will be better than just hearing the MW moaning !!!!

Dawnie: Hi, Havent seen you here for a while, i may be worng but isnt 1/5 means that they could only feel 1 fifth of the head and that it is nearly fully engaged ? I may be worng but I am pretty sure it is something like that

Vivkyloulou: Sorry to hear the ecv was unsuccessful, enjoy the swimming

Me: had better night sleep, William is not sick anymore and not waking up as much, he is still not eating but the sickness is gone ! Babywise everything seem ok, she is so active though at night it prevents me from fslling asleep !! still having BH but had them since about 26 weeks...

    Morning

Hannah - even though nothing exciting usually happens at appointments, for some reason I still liked ticking them off, like you're getting closer. Hope you have a nice day.

dawnie - oops sounds all too familiar, mine started getting awful from 34 weeks onwards, I asked my consultant if there was anything stronger than paracetamol as it didnt touch the pain anymore and she said no as there was still too long to go. Hope it eases for you, it's not nice!

Mrs VLL - oooh so we'll still not have the same date!!! Good luck with your handstand Laugh (sorry, funny pictures in my head!)

AFM - 37 weeks today so I'm starting to want to grab some of those baby out vibes, know it's still early but I have well and truly had enough. Spent 3 hours crying in bed last night because I just hurt everywhere and I'm tired and fed up. With H looking like he's doing nights weds and thurs I'm not happy anyway (I know it's not that bad) and with all the thinking of other people I'm half wishing for a surprise from her now.

Hoping to meet some local hitchers later if they'll still have grumpy me which would be nice as I can stop feeling so arsey!

moz - glad to hear william is better - hope you get some sleep soon

Pip - I hop eyou have a good day today.

  • Re: ***Tuesday 3rd Tri***

    Good Morning everybody!

Hannah, hope the day goes quickly until you are let off early! Is it your 28 week appoitment tomorrow then? In that case they will take bloods and check urine again, so some action at least! lol

Dawnie, ouch the BH sound sore, hope they ease off! Have fun getting all the baby stuff!

Vicky, an ECV sounds bloody painful, so I am sorry it did not work. Good luck with the handstand and maybe try some somersaults in the water as well! Laugh I am sending you lots of Turn Baby, Turn vibes!

Lish, I am glad the appointment went well yesterday!

Me, I am swamped at work..have 9 days left to the deadline for a huge project, so it is all systems go. Yesterday I tried to get up and walk around the office every so often and my feet did not swell anywhere near as bad as last week. Phew, loooks like it was "just" water retention.

The baby has turned I think..most of the kicks feel fainter and sort of inwards, rather than it kicking out towards my stomach. Loads of squirming going on as well!

I am so tired I have been sleeping like a log at night, have been getting about 6 hours straight and am chuffed with that, as I would not cope with work otherwise.

Have a good day and week everybody and apologies for the lack of posting and replying from my side!

Baby Out vibes to all who needs them!

    Morning everyone Wave

Hannah - I've got a mw appointment tomorrow too.  It's only my 3rd one, I kind of feel forgotten!  Hope she isn't too moany.

Dawnie - sorry the braxton hicks are making you so uncomfortable.  Sounds like you've got a nice baby day planned.

MrsVickyloulou - a friend of my SIL has just had an ECV and she said how painful it was so you have my sympathies.  On the positive side though, your section's booked for my birthday Laugh

Sparkling - sorry you're so tired and got such a busy day today, hopefully you'll be able to get some rest this evening

mozarella - glad to hear that William's getting better.

Pip - I'll send you some gentle baby out vibes.  I know the crying in pain and frustration thing, and I'm only 27 weeks!

AFM - Tigger was more active yesterday than ever (and he's always been very active!) which is lovely and makes me smile.  I'm really struggling physically now, especially with OH being away more than he's at home (because of work) and a very lively 4 year old.  He's being fantastic though, very grown up, and doing so much to help me it makes me cry with pride (and sadness that he's having to help me).  Pain's bad but no worse, which is something.

Sparkling, hope you have a good child free day getting things sorted and maybe also have time for a wee snooze!?

Moz, Im glad William is feeling a bit better and that you got some sleep despite wriggly baby!

Pip, hope you have a good day being cheered up by lovely Hitchers! Could you perhaps arrange for a girls night in when your H is working? Movies, loads of food and snacks?

PP, nice to see you again! Wave

I am sorry you are still in so much pain, are you getting any proper help for it? Hug Would it be possible to have your lovely wee boy in nursery half days or something to let you rest?

  • Re: ***Tuesday 3rd Tri***

NightOwl - hello Wave  I've been seeing a physio for about 6 weeks now because of my spine problem but the last time I saw her she thought I was developing SPD as well.  I wasn't sure because pain anywhere around my pelvis is 'normal' for me but on Saturday I realised that she was right when I had pain around the front that felt like my bones were going to come through my skin <shudder>  I've got a maternity belt and I'm on a paracetamol/codeine mix.  It takes the edge off the pain but I'm still struggling.  Matt's at nursery 2 days a week and with my mum 2 days a week because I'm still at work 4 days a week.  In some ways it's easier to be at work because my wonderful assistant/friend is mothering me something terrible and the only time I need to get up all day is to nip to the loo (which unfortunately is up lots of stairs).  It's in the evenings that I'm really struggling - all I feel able to do is sit/lie down and do nothing but with OH away so much I'm having to do the bare minimum to keep us ticking over (things like cooking, ironing clothes etc. which all seem so simple normally but now seem like climbing Everest).  I'm generally not feeling too sorry for myself but OH is going away on a stag weekend on Thursday (back on Monday) and the thought of having to cope for that long is making me a bit panicky (and don't get me started on the fact that he's away for Mother's day and will probably still be hungover by my birthday!)

Oops, sorry for the whinge Laugh [:I]

  • Re: ***Tuesday 3rd Tri***

Awww PP, you have all right to whinge, it sounds tough and the SPD/spine problems sounds downright horrid! Hug

Would it be possible to get a temporary cleaner/ironing lady in? I think it would be worth the money to give you some rest. Also, go back to the doctors and see if there is any additional pain relief they can give you.
