pip sounds like we're going to have similar sections - i've got to be there at 7.30 as i'm a priority i have to go 5 days before for bloods and the day before to make sure all is well and do the consent etc and get my ranitidine.  I'm switching between excited and terrified at the moment as whilst it's 2 months away it's not really that far away at the same time.

I know what you mean, my consultant appointment last week was the last one and I got handed all these forms and leaflets! I came out thinking how real it felt all of a sudden.

8am? 7:30am? Eek Now I know why I'm going for a VBAC - me having to get up that early on a non-work day just wouldn't be right Laugh

Wow, so many people on here, I can't reply to all sorry! But hope everyone is OK, baby out vibes and baby in vibes to those that want and need them!

My PP kittyboo - hope you're feeling OK, that's great about getting the nursery done, and woo-hoo for you finishing work, it must feel fab!

AFM - Had a busy weekend, had a couple of deliveries and me and H assembled the nursery furniture yesterday - well I instructed and H assembled that is, lol! So it's all up now but we need to put pictures, teddies, clothes etc all in there now. It's a small room but think it will do. And like kittyboo said, the baby won't be in there for a while yet!

I have less than 4 weeks at work now and really can't wait. I just want to go on maternity leave now and take it relatively easy before baby arrives. I'm trying to make plans so I keep busy before baby's born and don't get bored. I probably could carry on longer at work but just don't want to as my maternity pay isn't going to kick in until my due date anyway as I'm using accrued leave up to then. Plus the commute is getting me down and work is stressful and I get tired easily so it can't come soon enough!
    Have a great day everyone

CharlieDaisy - could you add me on to the list please and make me an official 3rd tri girl?  I'm due June 5th (can't believe I'm the first one on for June!) and my PP is ClareMarie.

  • Re: ***Monday 3rd Tri***

Ok am going to attempt personals which could take a while!!!

Hannah - sounds like you had a good weekend apart from your fall. Did you buy anything nice? Enjoy your short week at work

Sparkling - hope you have a nice afternoon with your friend

cwilson77 - would definitely get checked out by the midwife/dr - hope you are feeling better soon

Pip - your H sounds great, I am pleased you have had a good weekend and he has treated you so well. Sorry to hear about your nightmares over visitors, I think you have been very sensible telling them a different date - just a thought both hospitals nearby have banned all visitors due to swine flu (and have kept the ban even now) - I don't suppose yours has have they (or could you say that they have?)

aims - hope you have a lovely afternoon feeding the ducks and enjoying a milk shake. I hope the walk helps keep things going with your contractions. Did you get told off by the scary fire marshalls?

Purple Pixie - hello and welcome. let me know your due date and I can add to the list. Sorry you are struggling so much with your back and SPD - hope your physio can help

Angeldust - your weekend sounds like it was very productive - I can't imagine having to do 8 loads of washing - we normally do about 3 or 4 a week here (I know I am in for a shock when baby is born) Hope you have a good day today

lea8 - sorry you had a bit of a scare but glad baby is alright. Hope you are having a good day today. I know what you mean about being busy. Since I started maternity leave I have not stopped and have hardly watched any of this promised daytime tv!!

Lish - hope all goes well with your monitoring. Is H home yet?

DS - am disappointed we were wrong!!! baby out vibes for tonight though!! Have a good evening with your friends tonight

kittyboo - sorry you have been feeling run down, hope you are feeling better soon. I have also made up my cot although baby may sleep there earlier than 6 months as it has a double bed in the room also. I know I will have to re wash everything but it looks so much better made up doesn't it. I meant to start taking raspberry leaf tea at 34 weeks although it ended up being 36 weeks by the time I got round to buying the tablets

daydreamer - glad the nursery is coming together. Have you bought pictures, toys etc? The last couple of weeks of work seemed to go so slowly for me but I got there eventually! Work did hint about me staying a couple of extra weeks and I could probably have managed it as I am still feeling fine but its been nice to have some time to myself.

AFM - had a fairly productive first week off and got most of my to do list done. H is working today and tomorrow so going to attempt the ironing mountain and clean the kitchen. I am officially car less now and struggling with the thoughts already so may have to look at replacing it asap.

Hi to all laters and lurkers

baby out vibes to anyone that wants them

Hey DD Big Smile Check us out and our organised selves! pics please!!!!!? I took some will upload later maybe if you fancy a share-though it still is a work in progress.  I really empathise with the commute. Work has been so hard for me lately and it is largely to do with the commute it can take up to 2 hours on public transport (bus x2 -at least, a ferrry and then walking...) and alot of standing around in the cold which is not doing my bladder any good! 36 weeks is my limit! I cant imagine working later than that at my work...urgh urgh, doesnt help when your not supported well either-but hey only 9 working days left..hooray. I hope yours comes quickly lovely I really do.

CD:- Impressive personals! Glad your first week off has been productive, is it just me or is there something strangely satisfying about finishing a mountain of ironing? Of course it goes without saying that this needs to be accompanied with tea (well Slush puppy for me) and cake! Have a good day

Morning all hope you all well. I have actually managed to get on at a reasonable time today as Olivia fell asleep after swimming lesson this morning and is still asleep so after I did my chores I am having some well deserved hitching time.

Far too many people to do personals but you all sound like you have been mega busy!!

Today I will have lunch when O wakes up then I need to walk the dog and make dinner so not too busy for me. Tonight I am going to list a coffee table on freecycle and list my Bugaboo  and H's bike on Gumtree for sale. While I am doing the pics I will also do a bump pic as I havent done one in a few weeks.

Baby is fine still moving about loads, thought I had the midwife this week but its actually next week so a wee bit disappointed but it will come round soon enough. My back hurts so much when i am sitting down so at nights I am trying to find lots of stuff to do to keep me on my feet. Its that or go to bed!

Hope you all have nice days.

    well, I'm home!

bp was a little up, but they said that was kinda to be expected at this stage. Trace was ok, and baby moving loads.

when they did Doppler, took AGES to try and get clear reading, doc ended up changing machine cos she couldn't get it, but said there was no need for concern. Got it eventually and it was ok, so let home!

just have consultant on Thurs again so feeling happy that things are ok!

thanks for all ur lovely wishes and vibes!!

Hi Everybody ! It is really busy here today

Have hardly had time for me, William is still really unwell , not eating, throwing up, went to GP there is nothing they can do , it is a bug and it will pass, but how longcan yoi leave a young child throwing up, I am so not used to that, in France they give antithrowing stuff , or other things which will ease the body, william is so miserable, crying or sleeping, making it really hard, I can hardly do anything and we are stuck indoors ....

On the baby front, I feel really big now, hard to walk, but I am ok, i just keep thinking I will be overdue like William and I really dont want to be, my due date just before Easter weekend is just perfect ! I dont want to be waiting at home with my mum over and all of us waiting, my mum is coming just after easter weekend, but we shall see

Oh, nearly forgot :I dreamt I gave birth to our baby girl in the men's toilets !!!! I had a proper bed though but it was in the men's toilet : how on earth can I dream things like that lol

    Evening all

Not going to do personals as too tired today. Hope everyone had a good day and hope those that have had falls over the past couple of days are recovering well.

Today I was very brave and went to a mini DW meet. Had a lovely cup of coffee and a chat for 2 hours. I think that was pretty much my day.

The have you had it yet has started I when I logged on to FB last night. I was having 3 seperate conversations plus a private message at one point. Grrrrrrrrr

    Evening pebbles,

honestly do people really think that you would pop a baby out and then come on facebook and not tell them - growl!!!

Well done for going on a DW meet - you are brave. How was it? Had you met the people before?

  • Re: ***Monday 3rd Tri***

Was the first meet been on - went well only 4 of us as there aren't many local to round here, they were OT rather than BT. There is a meet in Newcastle on Saturday too but is a bit too far away for me.

My H nearly put his status as "It's a boy" to see what reaction he got. he he he
